Help Key: 3G, 4G, HSPA+, LTE, WiMax – What Do They Mean To You?

Check out..

Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

On a more serious note guyz do you see a collision of epic proportions coming...i do and it will really push down the data rates.Competition is really about to heat up.and some of the telcos wount be able to handle it...
what happened to safcom 4g/lte....

Data is undoubtedly the next frontier; it will be interesting to see how it unfolds as competition hits the market. I hear Safaricom LTE is awaiting spectrum availability and approval to hit the airwaves. But the trial l understand has been successful. There is still a long way to go for 3G however ............ from the HSPA 21Mbps, the next step is HSPA MIMO 28Mbps, then DC HSPA 42Mbps, then HSPA ++ at 84Mbps. So it will be interesting as operators try to undo each other with one offering a better speed than it did yesterday etc etc. But you and l will be the winners ....
The laudable is more often than not rendered laughable by overclaim

Huawei E1762. I don't understand why they should block the unlocked safaricom modems? as this encourages kuhama!

you can use yu. for 500/= you get one month unlimited.
Disclaimer: you have to be really patient and immune to frustration. Woe unto you if you want to download anything beyond 100MB.
All you can do is all you can do; but all you can do is enough!

@Mr.Wambui, airtel/orange/safcon are all providing unlimited data at 3,000/= p.m. The cheap Yu data is just very expensive since one wont do anything with it. Hata kufungua google!!!

@mozenrat, open the link on this post. There is a big difference in the speed between bundled data and unlimited data
