I am hard core Mugikuyu and I have not and do not intend to register as a voter.

My kid brother, born, brought up and educated on the slopes of Mount Kenya swears he will vote for The Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga.

Dad and Mom swear by Honourable Martha Wanjiku Karua.

My two sisters will simply vote with their respective husbands, so they say. One brother in law says he will never vote for Kenyatta Junior and the other lost people dear to him in Honourable Willam Ruto's back yard.

The joints visited by the young in our area are frequented by those who quip that Auntie Martha is cool.

Put that into your respective analysitics before you yondel the Kuks this and the Kips that....

Like i pointed out in a different thread, kenyans are largely tribal. Your family may be an exception rather than the rule. I can bet you not all kyuks voted for Kibaki in the 2007 election but he still managed to get most kyuks behind him. Figures for the last election maybe foggy but the general trend will not change unless something "spectacular" like a kenyan "Obama" happens.
Martha Karua on the other hand has shown very little in terms of winning the "homeground" support,so far she is a non-starter

Since elections are through secret ballot it matters less what someone tells you how they will vote, its better to look at previous trends to gauge the next election. My 0.20 cents!

. exactly how does it help to claim that youre a kyuk and say you will vote for Tinga change the previous voting patterns. For all we know you maybe a tinga supporter trying to gain mileage by your claims. Other than that, secret ballot ensures that only you will know whom you voted for.

We Kenyans need to be honest with ourselves first and foremost before any meaningful democratic election can be held.

1. Are we tribal, yes.
2. Do we want to change? Yes/No/Maybe.
3. How do we conduct elections devoid of tribalism?

This G7 thing is too crowded to accommodate the interest of all.btw I would support 'Evangelist' Ruto given him and Uhuru with a cocked G3 on my head.I liked the zeal he had on the agriculture and higher education ministries.For now raila remains my man.
