I am hard core Mugikuyu and I have not and do not intend to register as a voter.

My kid brother, born, brought up and educated on the slopes of Mount Kenya swears he will vote for The Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga.

Dad and Mom swear by Honourable Martha Wanjiku Karua.

My two sisters will simply vote with their respective husbands, so they say. One brother in law says he will never vote for Kenyatta Junior and the other lost people dear to him in Honourable Willam Ruto's back yard.

The joints visited by the young in our area are frequented by those who quip that Auntie Martha is cool.

Put that into your respective analysitics before you yondel the Kuks this and the Kips that....

@mahegoat, your right. The Kikuyu vote is likely to be split. Raila seems to bank on this and will seek a reliable partner to win him the orphan vote. He has also turned to praise-singing 4 baks. But if UK runs, I can bet he will sweep the votes there. If he backs Samoei, he will lose a huge chunk of the vote. Should he back Musyoka or Wamalwa, he will lose about 30pc of the vote...this is 1 region every major politician is drooling over-despite having lower percentage support for the draft in 2010, it gave more votes than western or nyanza where the pc support was higher...kampeni ziendelee

Like i pointed out in a different thread, kenyans are largely tribal. Your family may be an exception rather than the rule. I can bet you not all kyuks voted for Kibaki in the 2007 election but he still managed to get most kyuks behind him. Figures for the last election maybe foggy but the general trend will not change unless something "spectacular" like a kenyan "Obama" happens.
Martha Karua on the other hand has shown very little in terms of winning the "homeground" support,so far she is a non-starter

Since elections are through secret ballot it matters less what someone tells you how they will vote, its better to look at previous trends to gauge the next election. My 0.20 cents!

Thanks a lot Mahegoat for pointing out to Njugs how preposterous it is to imagine all kiuks will vote blindly. I am a proud Kiuk from Tetu and my presidential vote will go to Hon.Raila Amolo Odinga. Should it be of interest to anyone,I will vote Mutahi Kagwe for senator.

.Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly exactly how does it help to claim that youre a kyuk and say you will vote for Tinga change the previous voting patterns. For all we know you maybe a tinga supporter trying to gain mileage by your claims. Other than that, secret ballot ensures that only you will know whom you voted for.

We Kenyans need to be honest with ourselves first and foremost before any meaningful democratic election can be held.

1. Are we tribal, yes.
2. Do we want to change? Yes/No/Maybe.
3. How do we conduct elections devoid of tribalism?

The G7 stands a very big chance of producing the next president.
That president doesnt have to be either of the duo of Uhuru and Ruto.

Consider different scenarios and evaluate how best Uhuru and Ruto's interest would served in each situation.

Think of what risk they run, if they bungle things and their sworn nemesis runs with the prize!

Can they countenance such an eventuality?

They must do whatever it takes, including ceding ground for someone else, to ensure they curry some favour with the person in state house

This G7 thing is too crowded to accommodate the interest of all.btw I would support 'Evangelist' Ruto given him and Uhuru with a cocked G3 on my head.I liked the zeal he had on the agriculture and higher education ministries. For now raila remains my man. I'm not from the Lake.Never passed Nakuru .nawakilisha msimamo wa wendz,Magigi pia .I saw them support raila in another thread.
Im also warming up to simonkabz and njugunajohn to vuka,we give raila the seat and see what he has 2 offer.

@Njuguna, the mathematics you've posted is highly unlikely. As I indicated on another thread, who will cede ground for the other between WR and UK, and if either one does (because they have indicated that they will do anything to stop RAO), will the kips vote for a Central president or vice versa? That said, has Central Kenya ever voted overwhelmingly for a presidential candidate not from their backyard?
