Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

There is a project coming up on Mombasa Road near Senior Staff, Athi River.

Someone is doing apartments (1, 2 3 bedroom). As of now, I know that 1-bedroom goes for 2.2M.

How is this deal? I imagine the monthly rent will be around 10k ... a buy or leave?

I will get more information about the 2- and 3- bedroom units.

Key features:

(a). On the road (Mombasa road);
(b). Directly opposite Senior Staff Area, actually opposite Garden Hotel, Athi River, on the left as you go towards Machakos.
(iii). Water from Mavoko and borehole
(iv). Commercial units will also be available.

Good day.

@ Abby, i know the place. Saw them putting up a perimeter fence. My only problem are the slums in the neighbourhood. There might be security concerns. Anyway, who are the contacts ?

Good thought; had not given attention to that.

My aim was to pick 1-bed or 2-bed as an investment; being just on the road, commuting should be very easy ... vehicles to Athi River, Ktengela, Machakos, etc.

I thought that a 1-bed won't lack a tenant; let me investigate the slums issue a little longer.

I was at their offices .... initially they said the 1-bed goes for 2.2M; now they say the pricing is not finalized.....

Beside almost every estate there is a slum so if you are scared by this you might never own any property.

My guess.. Mombasa Rd (from Nbi) ends in Mtito Andei. Here the road changes name to Nairobi Rd (from Msa)

@Abby

Thanks for sharing this info with us.
If the deal is above board it would end up being a good investment decision for those who take it.

Those talking of the length of Mba Rd!

The introductory thread is clear on location along Mba Rd.
Athi River.
That shoul be enough info as pertains location!

@ Abby,

Keep me in tabs. I've developed some interest after touring the site.

There are several housing development projects next to the said plot so the neighbourhood is promising.

Fine, I am fighting to get a 2-bed room one, looking for 350k deposit.

To me, there is no better deal than this --- becoz in the 18 months or so that it will take to complete Phase 1 of 230 units, I will almost be through with payment.

Even if I will not have completed, I should be able to be financed easily -- and a tenant who will use the unit will finish paying for me.
