Its my humble opinion that this guy is starting to get too political nowadays. We waited for his take on Ngilu, Mudavadi but he just tightlipped himself. Now he is out guns blazing on Ongeri. As much as we should fight corruption it has to be seen to be transparent and not leaning on political affiliation. PLO go for them all but not some

His post is too sensitive since majority of the bigshots should be in Kamiti for thèft of public funds, almost all of them, and its these theives who appointed PLO, n he might not be in a capacity to bite as hard. That the dude has really tried is not in question, infact, few would have fared any better! One thing I know, the guy has given KACC some teeth n face unlike the lethargic 'oro fish' predecessor. With a new Katiba n govt in 2013, I smell a bloodbath (of the thieves).

Simon i fully agree with you.lumumba has tried.any valid case he handles should be support regardless of the party affiliation of the thief.these thieves are the one making us to buy unga at 150/= fuel at 120 p litre thro higher taxes to fund corruption.walikula peke yao .wafe peke yao .nkt.

@Freiks, i agree with you. There is no small or big thief. Ngilu's stole smartly but they were still big figures! And in my view the fact that the ccontracted companies were owned by her relas... Also on Mudavadi.. Why did that story just die?

But i support the bid for Prof Ongeri & Prof Kiyapi to resign. Whether or not they stole, they are/were custodians of those funds and they should have ensured it is well taken care of.
....above all, to stand.

Honestly losing 4.2B under Prof Ongeri's watch is not only painful to the Tax payers but also criminal (thro neglect/incompetence or otherwise) on Ongeri's part.PLO must move swiftly to recover the amt and charge the culprits.
the same should be applied to ALL corruption cases, whether ngilu, Mudavadi, wetangula or...Jesus in the cabinet and elsewhere.

the moment we start looking at these cases with Party/Tribal lenses hakuna mahali tunaelekea.

I sometimes think KACC investigates and takes these files to AG....and there the files accumulate dust.PLO cannot prosecute!

Looks like Tobiko might be confirmed as the DPP, PLO already voiced his objection to his appointment, with this how do we ecpect to fight mega corruption in Kenya!!!!!!

PLO lost my respect when he ran quiet on Ngilu and Mudavadi... He can scream all he wants. But he need to know that you do not fight corruption from the microphone. You do so in court and consistently. How can UK find KShs 4.2B lost and PLO is only prosecuting for 100M? hiyo ingine ilenda wapi? He is not serious at all!! my two cents!

With the Ethics and Integrity Bill coming through and with the new constitution in place, PLO Mboys will have proprietorial powers. Tobiko will deal with street thieves, assaulters and murderers. PLO will deal with the corrupt.

the biggest problem in Kenya is that all (corrupt and investigators)are affiliated to some point to certain powers within or without.

It is not enough for PLO to call a press conference to whine.

I expected him to tell the country that I have this and that evidence and have forwarded it to the office incharge of prosecutions.

Or was he suggesting he is helpless.

As regards Ngilu and Mudavadi cases we are still waiting.

My leaders will never stop amusing me, Raila said that there is no case against Ngilu and Mudavadi and now he is full blast on Ongeri, if I were Ongeri I would just pledge my loyalty to ODM to make sure am protected. This i believe is not what we want from a respected leader showing biasness in judgement and talks. As I said PLO rise up to the occasion, RAILA should rise up too and stop showing us the 2 sides of the coins

I wrote in an earlier post when he was appointed that he was picked for the job because of his eloquence just like his predecessor of the 'Orro small fish' fame. He is supposed to convince you that he is on top of things without actually doing anything on the ground. That is his secret job description. Unfortunately Ringera did better than him in that aspect. We are all still waiting for the big announcement. His misguided attack on Ole Kiyapi shows that he is just out to make political statements and not state facts which can be used in a prosecution. Lost faith in him

The diktat goes like;
When a matter is before a court we shouldnt discuss its merits and demerits.

Of course there is no known case in court touching on Minister and PS education - otherwise they would have had to resign as per dictates of the law.

My beef with PLO is he can not rely on going to press to express what appears like frustration/inability to do his job.

If he did his job - presented CREDIBLE evidence to the prosecutorial arm in Govt he could claim to have done his bit ably.
If they dont prosecute - well thats something else.

Since he didnt say he has presented any evidence to AG about them, then its is cheeky of him that an officer of his standing, paid to go after the corrupt, should call a press conference to coerce Minister and PS to resign out of grace.

He should use the laid down avenues in law to have them forced out of office or even jailed.

What PLO did is what you and I can, and have been doing, - demanding that public officers leave office on good culturedness basis.
There ought to be a difference in the modus operandi employed by PLO and that employed by civil society.
With yesterdays posturing by PLO that line remains blurred.

In that case I am not too sure why he is accepting the fat cheque each month end.
