Uhuru Kenyatta has done it again. He has dealt another blow on the ugly head of corruption by clearly coming out in condemnation of the Education Ministry's misappropriation of funds and the Medical Services Ministry's pending bills audit. He issued the following report not mincing his words as he sat side to side with the Education Minister:

Uhuru has said that Sh 4.2 billion was misappropriated and of this amount Sh 1.9 billion never reached the schools it was intended for. He also said that the figure presented by the Medical services Ministry for pending bills was actually Sh 1,646,332,693.35.
He concluded by adding that there is suspected fraud at Arid Lands Resource Management Project and investigations by Treasury are currently being undertaken.
From the little I can gather Uhuru is committed to ensuring that every single cent allocated to different sectors is accounted for and that it actually goes to do what it was intended to do.
His stance against Ongeri, a close ally, is also a good sign that he will not allow political alignments to cloud his judgment.
He also spoke about the commitment to fully implement IFMIS which will rid us of corruption.
