Is it just me or are these rates just ridiculous?
I must admit, living away from home (My last visit in April), I may be disconnected from reality.
But from what I saw, the charges published for the spreadsheets we used to get for free, are just ridiculous.
Is this reasonable for the average trader? Is the average trader making more than Kes 7200 a month to justify some of the rates?

Unless I got it wrong, I think they are now targeting Institutional investors and not Wanjiku who's discovered they can earn a little more on the NSE than bank interest/ under mattress bank.

I also think they are quite unreasonable.

Is NSE trading data public information? If I remember correctly, the new constitution states that public information should be free and available to the public whenever they request for it?
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

This is impunity, purely designed to systematically eliminate kina @wanjiku from NSE and let the mboys take full control of wealth at NSE...

I think the rates are quite reasonable. Depending on one's investment style, something such as the NSE Handbook would more than suffice. It may be pricey for regular traders, but for a long-term investor this is actually quite cheap.
I spent over $3000.00 purchasing an EA-wide database a couple of years and it's proved invaluable to my investment process.

It's not public data. It belongs to the NSE. Public information relates to government and subsidiary entities and their employees and activities,i.e. the Kenyan Republic. Not publicly-owned companies.
