I know most of the transfer rumours end up being exactly that - rumours - but that should not stop us from discussing players we would want to see leave or join the teams we support (or don't!).

Let's use this thread to discuss transfer rumours. It will give us a chance to "talk football" during this unwelcome break Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly .
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Stingy Arsene Wenger: "I would rather die!!!"

Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy, Bendtner and Denilson all want out.
The Fans want to kick out Diaby, Almunia, Eboeue, Squilachi and Wenger.
Who will remain in this once great club?

They should talk to @TAZ. I'm sure he would be willing to play for them for free - No trophies and all. Hell, I'm sure he would pay them to be in the team! Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

But seriously though, players like Fabregras, Nasri etc. deserve some medals before they retire. If I were them I would also leave before its too late. At least they still have a chance of moving to teams that can actually win trophies.

An example commonly being used in football world is Carlos Puyol, He won his first trophy at 26 years. Now trophies just flow. Barcelona went through a barren spell the days of the Great Rivaldo and Kluivert.
Fabregas and Nasri are 23 so it aint that bad for yet.

@safariant - Barcelona was a team under construction. Arsenal is a team under destruction. You can't compare the two scenarios.

Let me tal about my team.

Saturday's annihilation by the Catalan giants exposed our weakest area - midfield. We need a Sneijder or a Luka Modric, I've been hearing of Javier Pastorre but have not seen his game yet but hope we can get one (or even two) of these guys in the link below

http://soccernet.espn.go...ul-scholes?&cc=3888

We also need another centre back and it's been rumuored we're after an established young centreback playing for Lens (can't remember the name). Mbele tuko sawa now that Berba has declared he still wants to fight for a place in the team.

By the way I saw an analysis of the goal keeper we've been courting - David de Gea, and this Spanish sports papers analyst reckons he's a good buy at the wrong time - at 20 to just join a new league and be the number one goalie after the exit of the great VdS might not be ideal...Neuer would have been the perfect fit but they've now agreed terms with Bayern so guess we'll have to wait and see.

I doubt whether Nasri would be willing to sign for Man Utd but he has been saying the 'right' things to squeeze more dollars/pounds/euros from stingy Arsene Wenger - n my opinion of course.

Maybe. Maybe Not. Who Knows?

We do not need players like Bendtner, Denilson, Rosicky, Eboue & Almunia in the team. They should be the first to leave, there are so many Spanish and Italian teams after these players so i think we should cash in.

The Fabregas situation is still not clear, Barca are not ready to meet the price quoted by Arsenal but other clubs like Real, Chelsea and Man city are willing to pay 50m pounds for the player, so kazi kwa Barca.

Samir Nasri just wants to be on the same level with Cesc in terms of Wages. He wants almost double of what he's currently getting at the club. I've no doubt he'll extend his contract but at what expense...

Players being linked with Arsenal...Samba, Cahill, Falcao, Parker, Gervinho,Odemwingie, Baines, Bojan, Thiago, Phil Jones, Jagielka, Defoe, Hazard, Mertesacker, Leandro damiao,

Players expected to leave at any price...Almunia, Eboue, Rosicky, Denilson, Bendtner, Squillaci,

Real Madrid to Man Utd - We want Chicharito, name your price!

Real Madrid have asked Man Utd to name their price for the signing of the season - Chicharito. Obviously SAF has told them to keep on dreaming!

Chicha is currently one of the lowest paid Man Utd player at 25,000/= pounds a week. Man Utd were planning to double his salary at the close of the season but now that has changed. The lad might just get his salary trebled to 75,000/= pounds a week. Proof that hard work pays.

Now go back to work. You just might get your salary trebled!!! Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

As Man Utd and Liverpool spend big on Jones/Henderson Arsenal sign Charlton teenage defender Carl Jenkinson.

Phil Jones spoke to Arsene Wenger last night but opted for Man United. 5-year deal for £15m.
