From down-town sources, Obama's allegation that Mwau is a top drug baron has something to do with his ownership of Nakumatt and the intention of Walmart to get into the fray of Kenya vibrant retail market.

Back to Uchumi... with all these hullabaloo Uchumi is still a good brand well respected locally and regionally.

The share was valued at Sh9.85 at close of trading yesterday, a 32 per cent drop from the Sh14.50 suspension price in June 2006.

Johnson Nderi, an analyst at Suntra Investment Bank, said the selloffs saw the prices reach to lows that are beginning to attract demand, which is seen as a sign that the market has found a bottom price for the share.

The analyst says Uchumi valuation is difficult since its the only retailer in the bourse.Thats why sometime I dont listen to these analyst how do they value KQ then or EABL?

Can someone with uchumi financial just share with us the growth in EPS,capital, for the last 4 yrs as well as the margin of safety.
