Increase of dividend by 50% doesn't sound like someone about to a rights issue.

VVS, please school me on this
Wasn't the 2009/2010 financial year supposed to be worse for KQ in terms of gains on fuel derivatives?
Then how come their results show that they made fair value gains on fuel derivatives of 6 Billion in that year as opposed to 2010/2011's 30 million?

In my own thinking, if a company wants me to buy their rights in the coming year, they will definitely not disappoint me this year.

If I'm not satisfied with what they paid me this year as dividend,I might hold back on any further investment in the company and be contented with what I just currently hold hence ignore the rights.

So if KQ is going to do a rights issue then sahi ndiyo wanatukatia(Its the Art of seduction).
