Please keep us informed. Why would they keep it open if no manufacturing unless the bank has seized assets & trying to sell existing stock.

Believe that bank wanted out. Olympia would then have to pump more money in. Do not know why no manufacturing but last friday staff left and believed it all over only to be called back on monday. Olympia and bank in meeting at Natwoods premises on monday. I guess that this week was for olympia to decide if it wanted to continue. Manufacturing in South Africa is extremely difficult when times are good, let alone in this recession.

What you are saying is interesting as regards manufacturing in S.Africa... which means I will be more careful with anyone who wants to expand their manufacturing there.

*** Bank probably wants out of Plush + related entities. Not surprised. Could they be throwing the baby out with the bath water in Natwood's case?

With 11 deals, this counter was unusually busy today...small number of shares though....and touched a one year low.

Who said 'get out when you can'?

Question-when will CMA start enforcing its rulebook? Answer-when another Uchumi-like collapse happens.

My advice on Olympia-sell up and put in a buy order at around Ksh5.

If I can remember properly Olympia had this idea of converting itself into a 'Centum'. So if this is the case then 6/= will be a very good bargain.

could be that the books are being cooked to reflect a healthy financials, uchumi style...

This time round, the CMA will be watching. The auditors will be on the hot-spot. And shareholders will be asking the questions. Cooking books is going to be tough.
