If you fail, you typically have to change and do things in a radically different way. By my definition,Kenya is either there or heading there. Those who believe that Kenya can continue as it is doing now, your Waterloo moment awaits you in 2012.

NO . kenya is not a failed state...... Impunity is what ails this country .... it's a cancer that has affected both small and big .....a passenger will aboard an overloaded matatu knowing that the traffic police will turn the other side because he has been bribed ..thats impunity.... matatu driver will overload his matatu knowing that he has bribed the policeman....the policeman will turn the other side because when a matatu is overloaded because he has been bribed.... that's inpunity.

A minister will steal from the public coffers knowing that he can be taken nowhere ...while Mpigs mismanage the CDF knowing Mtado?

If we could have 3 month sharia law -like dealing with impunity,Kenya would be a heaven on earth... Literaly Cut the hands of those found stealing from public coffers or accepting bribery in a public place like Uhuru park........... Sack and jail any police/public service officer failing to follow the existing laws ....... Recover all the stolen cash stashed in foreign accounts....arrest and fine instantly anyone caught breaking the traffic law..

The above measures may land someone to Hague ....but they may be the only way to salvage this country...It could be a small price to pay for the sake of future generations....

Rules of the game here: Before you post anything think.give facts only..It's a serious blog for serious people....Do not insult your brother....respect one another...Just be good

No. We may have our issues, but failed state? No.

Men who are occupied in the restoration of health to other men,by the joint exertion of skill and humanity, are above all the great of the earth. They even partake of divinity, since to preserve and renew is almost as noble as to create.VOLTAIRE.
