Has Mary Ang'awa been interviewed? I read a piece in the Nation written by a fellow called George Kegoro,...raised questions about her technical competence in law, and if what he said is true, she doesn't stand a chance. On the other hand, I found Ahmednasir treating the candidates a bit roughly ...

The way this thing is going, these guys may say none of the interviewees is qualified and ask for more candidates and finally appoint Ahmednasir himself, or even wako. Nothing bars wako by the way!

On the other hand, I found Ahmednasir treating the candidates a bit roughly ... She has a bad reputation with most lawyers with most questioning her competence. But already most lawyers are biased against her because she is damn strict and does not suffer laziness and fools in her court. She is also high handed. The thing is if you are well prepared and ready to proceed in her court then you would most likely have no reason to complain in her court. I would like her as a CJ because she is a damn good Administrator and she is one of the few Judges whose integrity is beyond question - or as close as it can humanely get. Forget about competence and all that the immediate former CJ was a good and competent Judge but probably up there with the worst CJ we have ever had. Justice P. Kihara Kariuki runs with it. Even the perenially adversarial Ahmednasir treated him with respect - probably because he matches his intellectual level with integrity to boot. Certainly the guy for the job. Dunia ni msongamano..

Totally agree with you,,,,,,,this guy is sharp and quite focused, at this point in time i think he is leading the pack. It would however be interesting to know what kind of information the chairlady held back about his personal life,,,apparently this may affect his suitabilty for the position....ama ni mambo ya mpango wa kando?? @vinii that's exactly what I thought when I heard that line.Ama it's a pharmacy issue? In a place where thought is abandoned, freedom can become a curse.

being harsh is part of the interview because it will gauge your sobriety and calmness. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

From Abdinasir to Mary Angawa ...'looking at the written rullings you have made, the judgements are only one or two lines. Do you have a problem writing in prose?' ...and then came the punchline... 'Would it be better for you if you wrote your judgements in poetry...' I laughed at this mpaka nikanyamba... And the culprit could not see the joke ...Kweli uzee ni kitu kibaya...
