why are people forgetting that circumcision in kenya is not just an operation,its not like removal of tonsils or the appendix.
its a point at which boys become men,a point where you cease doing boyish things like hunting with slings,rolling tyres,building wire vehicles and other childish things,looking at it as a surgical procedure is completely missing the point.
its is a rite of passage,do you know what makes men diffrent from women? the right of passage- women don't have it,there is no cut-over into adulthood. why would you then let that person usher you into adult life?
