In the good ol days, any boy worth his salt would know ALL 70-80 cars in the Safari Rally (aka Safo..or Safali larre) - by make, model, driver, co-driver, sponsors, etc...hell, I'm sure some knew their blood groups as well.
These days I cannot tell an Avensis from a Mark x from a Tata Corvette from a Dacia Veyron from a KIA 207 from a Mazda Premio from a Honda HIV from a Toyota Whoosh from a donkey's ass...
The problems with allowing too many models into a market:
- side mirror and other theft
- few parts - higher costs (then pls see item 1 again and see this cycle unfold).
I think KEBS should approve certain models for a limited duration...there will be a bigger user base for each and more parts (less diversity) and less theft...
