Dividends:

I think w/tax for Kenya residents [not necessarily citizens but those who pay taxes in Kenya] is 5%

For non-residents [including Kenyan citizens] it is 10%

There is double taxation at work since listed firms also pay Corporate Tax.

For INTEREST INCOME

Residents 15% w/tax
[No idea about non-residents]

1) @stocksmaster did over 100% last year & better the NSE-20.
2) If you think you can or have done better, follow his lead & show us each & every transaction.

Witholding tax on consultancy is also 15% for residents.

@ deal do like vvs said and let's have ua trxns. Since stocksmaster has outperformed the index, in my opinion that is good enough.

Ofcourse the inflation dynamics is another issue altogether.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

But you have to compare apples to apples...

What was the inflation from 1 Jan - 30 April? The absolute not annualized.

Compare apples to apples. If you do not know what apples look like then look at some pictures...

Comparing 2% return over 4 months vs 12% (annualized) inflation is apples & oranges...

Was inflation 12% for 4 months OR was it 12% for 1Q or was it annualized?

I wouldn't be asking the question if I knew... I am using the number you quoted. Don't get prickly... I am trying to figure it out as well... ;-)
