Emails not going out...

Since yesterday, I have not been able to send out emails using MS-Outlook, Windows Mail and Windows Mail Live. No settings have changed.

What could be the problem?

ISP: Orange
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Turns out orange has been having issues with smtp port 25 since Thursday 28th.

I sent them an email this morning and 10 minutes later some one called me to try helping. it didn't work but that was a good effort....

Any one having similar problems might want to try the following orange smtp servers:

Smtp.jamboworld.co.ke

212.49.70.14

Smtp.orange.co.ke

80.12.242.189

Smtp.jambo.co.ke

In the meantime, I wait for the to sort me out...

use smtp port 587 and your problem is solved

changing smpt port from 25 to 587 should sort u out. Due to use of port 25 by spammers many ISP are now using 587. but they should have advised you.

How come that port 587 works on Outlook but not on WindowsMail & WindowsMailLive?

Is there another smtp port?
