3. Bonus Shares from DTBK: @ 1:5 = 840 DTBK Shares

COMMENTARY
The first four months of 2011 have seen the NSE 20 share index go down by 9.1% (Compared with my marginal gain of 2.85%).

The market seems to have found some base at the 4,000 NSE level. It will be interesting to see which direction wether North or South it follows from here.

With 1st Quarter results starting to trickle in, positive bank results may tilt the push Northwards.

My current share portfolio has preserved my capital well but i will soon be reassessing it to capitalise on any emerging opportunities and/or utilising the cash available.

Happy hunting.

Withholding tax on dividends is 15% - if you are a non-resident, which maybe @impunity is. It is 5% for mortal residents like me. With holding taxes on interest however is 15% for residents, I think it is 20% for non-residents.

I revise my statement in view of the new evidence; maybe Impunity as a non-resident is being unfairly targeted with 15%. Haki yetu!!! Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

=>"withholding taxes on interest however is 15% for residents,...". I think for SACCOs it's still 5% or lower. Remember SACCOs pay dividends on shares and interest on deposits.
