You can find reasonable properties in several places, most likely Mombasa Road or Namanga Road.

My suggestion, however, is that you can as well build an income stream from that 1M; it may be better than holding the money in a plot.

Look for a constituent college of one of the public universities (they are many now), spend around 400k to buy a reasonable plot (1/8th or even 1/4 acre); then develop neat student rooms using the remaining 600k; the 600k may not be enough, but it will give you a reasonable starting position.

Once you have income ..... the world is your oyster (as some say)!

@kyuk ,My advise is go for areas that seem to have potential of deveopling in the very near future.The kenyan market has a way of rewarding greatly to those who risk to venture where others are afraid.Many have reaped greatly and even turned into millionaires within very short periods,especially with undeveloped land.
