Equity had 39% of total market turnover today. An Omen for the impending results

@vvs you really do believe it would be better to control lending rates as opposed to controlling fuel pricez??

100% agreement. Fuel impacts every part of our life... These days it even generates part of our electricity..
There needs to be control but it should be fair...
@vvs I think you would verify these by analysing how many countries control fuel and the number that regulate lending ratez

Commentary

Fantastic results from Coop Bank, the results were achieved by increase in interest income of 26% and non interest income of 30%, the bank was also able to cut its costs by 14% in 1Q 2011 which is a very good indicator of the ability of the management to contain costs. I also see unlike most banks they avoided trading in bonds excessively in 2010 hence the significant jump in non interest income this quarter. At closing price of 18.50 i now put the forward PE at 9.8 base on an EPS of 1.88 if they maintain this performance through out the year, i believe there is at least 25% upside potential to that price.

I love it. Not only about the results, but because finally people are working hard to analyses performance, give reasoning behind market behavior, outlook and investor actions. It reminds me of why i joined this club. Not to read mindless chatter about how my stock will outdo your stock or some lazy half-comer looking for a tip on where to throw his money. Wazua done good today. Nitanunulia kila mtu Mr.Berry for the upturn, especially you the deal.Applause Applause Applause
