Landlord throw you out of your house?

Example: Is your car stuck in the mud?"
"No, no, of course not. I'm only practicing how to spray mud using my tires.

But if Easter Monday falls on a Sunday and the new constitution says if a holiday falls on a Sunday then the following Monday will be a holiday......

Nunua vitz, change yenye inabaki nunua nyumba! Seriously unless you are considering a top of the range car (From Tata Motor Group), the cost of a house and a car are not comparable...
It's like asking whether you prefer Kalonzo for Councilor of Peter Kenneth for President...

Please allow me to shout this one......

IF YOUR GREATEST INVESTMENT IS A CAR, THEN YOU ARE TAKING YOURSELF FOR A RIDE...LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

The capital investment required for a typical Kenyan 2nd hand car and that required for a house are incomparable. I suggest you go for the car but only if its maintenance wont eat into your savings for the property and I also think its wise to invest in rental property 1st before going for home ownership.

Ha,ha. I like your thinking. In theory a house then a car. But in practice, do i wait to finish paying a 20yr mortgage then buy a car. your grandchildren could drive before u do.

I doubt you’ll have to wait that long.
For one thing, income is not stagnant. It will go up and you’ll no doubt be exploring the possibility of creating multiple streams of income.
Things get more expensive every year but its easier to catch up with the price of a car than with that of a house.

Days have gone when a car used to be a luxury. Though not basic, it is necessary for mobility, and incase of young people, a symbol of social status, a magnet for the most beatiful, unnecessary evil. Why? Because those who foregores this comfort are likely to have a higher networth unless the car is used for business. I can attest it's very tempting to buy a car with your first job as the cash is enough for a second hand car while the same can only buy a plot. My heart tells me to buy one, yet my mind tells me it's a sacrifice worth making. But if you buy a car as a beginer, buy a fuel efficient one.

There is also the effect of a car on health. The tendency is to use the car for every small errand, which encourages fatness, stiffening of bones and relaxation of muscles

A sleek car can get you laid... if you have a place to take her to!

Bottomline: Guys make money to get laid! Pray Pray Pray

If I had no need to get laid, then all I need is enuff chapaa for alcohol, some food, a roof [not a house], travel for fun... That turns out to be quite affordable!

This is true, but in my experience a good home is the key to sealing the deal. Take her with a Benz to your parents house and you will get absolute zero!

Actually it's a very bad advice. First of all, many first car buyers' budget can not get any worthy house, maybe some plot in the deep outskirts. If you can afford a house, you can definitely afford to get both at the same time

For a small minority, it can make sense to get the house first (e.g interested in living in the deep outskirts or small towns) but for the rest of us, a car is better to have before the house. It worked for me and many others.

A house is also a depreciating asset.
