Glory glory Man united,
Glory glory Man united,
Glory glory Man united,
As the reds go marching on on on!

Just like the busby babes in days gone by,
We'll keep the red flags flying high,
Your gonna see us all from far and wide,
Your gonna hear the masses sing with pride.

United, Man united,
We're the boys in red and we're on our way to Wembley!

Wembley, Wembley,
We're the famous Man united and we're going to Wembley,
Wembley, Wembley,
We're the famous Man united and we're going to Wembley

In Seventy-Seven it was Docherty
Atkinson will make it Eighty-Three
And everyone will no just who we are,
They'll be singing que sera sera

United, Man united,
We're the boys in red and we're on our way to Wembley!

Wembley, Wembley,
We're the famous Man united and we're going to Wembley,

Champions League semi-finals:

Real Madrid v Barcelona

Schalke v Manchester United
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

@Smano....Real now have to play Barca 4 times before the end of this season. There's something about this Real Madrid side that's a bit different from other teams that Mourinho has coached. They seem to be good going forward but defensively wako chini. Almost all their players were fully fit when Barca humiliated them at Camp Nou. I think Barca might have a slight advantage going into the semis especially due the fact that the second leg will be at home. Anyway we have El Classico this weekend, i hope Mourinho has learnt something from last time.

It will be the ultimate humiliation if Real are denied a chance of any trophy by their arch nemesis - La Liga, CL and Copa Del Rey. La Liga is definitely out unless Barca implode (highly unlikely). The CL will be won/lost in the first leg as the quarterfinals showed (all teams that lost were beaten home and away after a poor first leg) and Barca clearly look the better side.

The Spanish cup also has two legs which can also be a disadvantage for Real.

It will be inconceivable for Real to be dumped from all those competitions by the same side but Perez should give Jose another season to try his magic. Like Jose said, results are what one is judged by despite the effort, citing Real reaching the semi in his first season (last time they were in a semi was 2001) and the final of the Copa Del Rey

Whats wrong with La liga? Even after the clock in Europe was adjusted forward, they still want us to stay late and watch El Clasico at 11pm! ABK!!!

......Not in the Final. The final is one-legged and is played in a neutral venue, in this case Estadio Mestella in Valencia.

Thanks for the correction Mwenza, I have always thought it is one weird final with 2 legs...I believe in a final Jose can pull off a surprise but I would rather he does that in the CL - as much as I believe in my team, am not keen on the players chasing shadows in another final...Barca are beatable but on a good night they can really humiliate you.

Hii na kubali. I would rather my Red Devils face off against Jose & CR7 rather than Barca. As a team, the latter play much better. There is the small matter of getting past Schalke. But, If I was a betting man, I would go with Man United.

I am very wary of this Schalke side...they'll be playing without any pressure at all, for them even a semi against Man Utd is like a final and such teams can be dangerous especially with forwards of Raul's pedigree and Farfan's power...I'll be happy if we keep a clean sheet and get an away goal.

For me it is not an obvious game. I'm very sure SAF will also have one eye on Sundays match at the Emirates so who knows which side he'll field - I just hope he doesn't underestimate Schalke and put people like Gibson on the pitch..that guy needs to be loaned to some other team...too bad we're stuck with Carrick

Schalke certainly impressed the boss when he flew to Germany to watch their second leg success against Inter Milan.

"Schalke never looked like losing against Inter," he explained. "That's quite a credit to them when you consider the experienced side they were up against. They were in control and made a good impression on me when I was here.

"Germans have a self-determination. It's reflected in how the German people approach all sports. There's similarity with the English and Scottish!"

@smano - I don't think the boss will be underestimating Schalke. And in any case the Tuesday - Sunday - Wednesday fixtures favour Man U as opposed to Wednesday - Saturday/Sunday - Tuesday fixtures. It could also work in Man U's favour if they could get a big win in Germany given that they are playing Chelsea only four days after the return match at Old Trafford. If Man U musters a big win today - say 3 - 0 [Easier said than done] - then SAF could rest some players next week in preparation for the big clash with Chelsea over the weekend. A win over Chelsea will most definitely bring the EPL trophy back home. I'm sure SAF has done all those permutations.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Agreed @Maich, the pain of Robben's volley last season still haunts me...

By the way what is this mysterious "virus" that has had Fletcher out for this long? It would be good to have him in a final (very hopeful), I remember how we missed him when we chased shadows against Barca in the 2009 finals

Don't remind me!!! And to make it worse, it was a beautiful goal - as painful as it is to state this - not a result of a goal mouth scramble.

Add to that the fact we had a dream start - 3 - 0 up, Bayern players got Rafael unfairly sent off, we were bundled out on away goals, we most probably could have gone ahead to beat Jose's Inter Milan in the final to lift the CL one more time etc. etc. and you will see why that is one footballing night I'd rather not remember!

Its interesting how soccer changes in a matter of weeks. During the QF draw, all managers wanted to draw Schalke. Immediately after the draw, Inter were deemed to have had the softest draw in the quarters.

However after Schalke wiped the floor with Inter, nobody considers them underdogs anymore.

@Mwenza, in fact I see the tie being a close cagey affair - I won't mind a 1-1 draw with Raul and Rooney/Chicha on the score sheet, their coach has said they'll be compact.

However, the thing about CL is that one ref decision can change an entire game, case in point Real vs Spurs at Bernabeau...a stupid red card for Crouch changed the entire tie

I don't want a draw - of any kind! I want Man U to win and win big. The trick is an early goal. Once a team is down - especially at home - they have to attack - and that opens up the game.

If Man U can get a goal by the 20th minute, I can see them scoring at least 3. If on the other hand there are no goals or Schalke scores first, then you will see the craziest defensive play ever. Man U has only one option - Score first and score early. Any other scenario will make the tie unnecessarily difficult for our lads.

@MaichBlack.............Agreed. A draw, though better than a loss, will not be good enough. We need to try and have at least one foot in the Final. I will take a 2-0 score to OT. Its very important to keep a clean sheet in this match. Thankfully, Schalke ordinarily play an open game which I hope will suit United.

Regardless of the outcome tonight, let no one expect a pretty game on sunday. Man U will definitely be playing for a draw which will all but ensure the EPL trophy starts its normal journey home.
