Ladies and gentlemen, where can one get info on GDPs of our proposed counties (current or projected). I need this information to know where to go and pitch my tent for the next 2 decades. Nairobi imenishokesha, so don't include it in your replies. Mombasa is also marginally out. Life there is too slow.

Also include main economic activities (current and expected).

Thank you.

That would be worthy information..

a good prof in this matters should let us know, otherwise we could always speculate..

In my Opinion the areas of Kajiado, Narok, Transmara would open up to more locals and other sectors as compared to tourism and foreigners as it is now.
Kakamega with its population (Market) would be a good bet as well untapped agriculture potential

got info on some counties here:
http://www.nation.co.ke/.../-/7l29llz/-/index.html

But as usual, Kenya reporters will always try to pass some obvious untruths as gospel facts. Like Lake Turkana being the largest fresh water lake in the country while it is not even a fresh water lake. ABK
So beware of some so called facts.

There is no comprehensive study done yet on GDP per county yet. General assumptions only.

Kilifi: Next tourism frontier
Lamu: Oil hungry Western countries will ensure a port is built for them to drink the Ethiopian/S.Sudan elixir from Lamu.
Marsabit: Likely to be the hotbed of North Eastern economics and commerce, even as it is in what was Eastern province. Proximity to Isiolo and away from the al Shabaab shenanigans.
Isiolo: A planned resort city. Ranchers den.
Meru: all money made in Meru is invested in Meru. Huge potential for GOOD QUALITY products (sell in) and value adding agri-industry.
Makueni: The techno-County. But I believe the real beneficiaries shall be Kajiado due to land, topography and infrastructure found in the Kajiado side of the Mombasa road.
Murang'a: Nairobi is shifting here. The un-productive, postage stamp sized 'land' and the coffee estates are giving way to controlled neighborhoods.
Kiambu: Same as Murang'a, but expect more land conflicts in Kiambu. The middle class is jostling for 'Thika Rd, Runda View and Muthaiga view plots', the 'view' goes all the way to Githunguri.
Kajiado: While the middle class is in mad rush into Kiambu and Murang'a counties, the upper middle and A class are gulping land in Kajiado dangerously. Not interested in gated community but palatial homes with horses and an private airstrips.
