Well,if you wan tto do it yourself do some reading first. If not look for a good investment advisor....both options will take considerable commitment.

Start here in the fantasy market to find out if you have the stomach for it.
You might discover it's not for you.

BBI will solve it

You come at a good time, a good number of shares r down or going down. Guess am already a second last born. Karibu, start by learning first what it entails and decide if its what you have in mind. If u look at my question of jana, I put my first money in NSE 4 yrs ago. All have received since is a yearly dividend of abt 250 bob and hope. Thank God this year my shares 4 tht counter increase 4 times after the split n for once I get abit of a healthy dividend relatively.

@Jonie ;Learn by reading the contributions at this webpage from wazuans..see whether you can be able to handle the stock movements risk. Also you can use a financial advisor to explain to you how to handle the stocks risks....Otherwise be carefull dont put all your money here without knowing what you are doing...... you dont have to gamble on stocks it takes a lotof home work....before you earn on stockmarket!

If ur talkin bout a bonus then the eps was split by the same magnitude and next year, holding performance constant, ull still get the same measly 250 bob. It may take a few years to multiply ur dividends by the same magnitude. so if ur in it for dividens u better be in it big!

You start by going to a broker, opening a cds account and giving cash to your broker!

Welcome Jonie.

as advised just go through the various posts in the investor section and you will get a direction but remember buying and selling is a personal decision.

BTW where can one get financial advisers in Kenya?
