i have a hunch the costs will be prohibitive to the 'kawa' mwanainchi. Then again, the gave is known for its loose legislation...you might not be able to move with ur plate to your next car. Secondly, does that mean they will amend all/current number plates?

Assuming the tax man is level headed on the cost, mine shall aptly read " Murira Ikihia ".

How would it be possible for Mariga to have that when the link is to a bill which is yet to become an Act? Could it have been a case of Mariga merely adding his name to the front registration number plate and not replacing it?

I doubt you will be able to copyright.

If it goes like it does in other countries, the value of personalised plates will keep changing according to demand or popularity.

Not all will hold the same value

Its almost like shares. You can buy and hold hoping it rises in value...
Could this be the case?

Example ... in UK you can buy a private plate for as low as £50= approx ksh6500?...
or you could pay a whopping £500k = ksh68.5m. which is obviously well above the value of almost any car

The most expensive personalised number plate ever registered in the UK was 'F1'
which cost the owner £440625

K1 NGS (KINGS) some time back sold £250k
S1 NGH is also fetched high value... but are currently unavailable to buy...

And when you purchase a car with a personalised plate; do you de-personalise the former owner and personalise yourself?
