F1 used to be more interesting way back then before they stifled it with more rules and then some ostensibly to make it competitive. Now you rarely even see any overtaking on the track. It is mostly done on the pit. One of the great joys of any motor sport is seeing drivers/vehicles attach or defend each other with mixed results.
And safariant is right. It is all about cars. Get the best driver whoever he is and put him is say force india or Toro Rosso and he wont win a thing. The competence of a driver would indeed have some effect on the performance but not by much given that F1 already boasts some of the best high speed drivers in the world.
I still follow F1 but find MOTOGP way much more exciting. Now that is Motor Sport. That is racing.
@marimari interesting that you would totally exonerate LH from his tyre issues. In my view LH`s `unrefined` aggressive driving style has a high impact on his tyre issues. Simply put the guy is hard on his tyres.
