According to the son Jimmy constitutionally he can defend the seat.

A likely impossibility is always preferable to an unconvincing posibility.

Constitutionally he must step down as a president by 30th december 2012 but there's no clause barring him from not contesting for the othaya paliamentary seat. Records are set to be broken here

Anyone reading such a statement literally is simply being naive.

It is Jimmy Kibaki's opening line for seeking the Othaya ticket. I am not a fan of the guy but it is easy to interpret what he was really saying.

@Adept

I thought so too and i also dislike the fella too .... talks as much sense as the fierce and furious LK. But if the Narc Activist decides to contest,then she will give him a run for his money... the lady is liked in the area - at least she's famous there unlike karoocy.

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

@Wendz - For a minute you had lost me there. That is,until I realized there is only one Narc Activist/PNU Activist in Kenya.

I would fear for her if she decides to run. I can picture Roocy getting onto the podium during her rallies in an attempt to drag her by the hair. LOL.
