With 12 or so months to the next General Election and 61% of Kenyans preferring the Hague as an avenue for trying suspected PEV masterminds, therein lies a concern. Are local institutions trusted to handle 2012 presidential disputes?

If a candidate (like Mr Raila Odinga) loses but claims he was "rigged" out "again", what stops him calling for "mass action" - "No Raila, No Peace" - violence instead of going to court?

Away from the Hague, it is time to strengthen our local institutions, like yesterday and use the full force of the law on law breakers.
