Safcon is fake just like it's 'dururu ka-share'! We need genuine compe and not endless promo extensions.

*124# worked well for me yesterday. It was impossible on Fri. Then I realised that I only have 6 Zain numbers I call regularly. *100# for those who call 196 numbers in their phone book.

Vukeni tu

But prepare yourselves for congested network, call drops and system crashes.

Zain is getting to where Safcom was a couple of years back then people will vuka out again.

And when Seacom lands and If there is a right thinking guy(s) at Safcom, they will introduce VoIP in addition to GSM calls at almost no cost i.e at the same cost of running an application on your phone which currently stands at KShs 0.04 per connection (internet)

@djagame,the congestion is already here, nothing seems to go through the first time, dropped calls are now regular and there is the problem of voice coming in 'waves'. A sad cry from when Kencell was the clearest network.

Saturday nation page 23,zain's vuka tariff to cost 50% more (from 8ksh to 12ksh) for cross network calls starting today. YU has coverage issues. Guess the party is over. Its time i reactivated my safaricom line for safaricom to safaricom calls

I guess the party was good while it lasted. Do Zain now believe they have created a loyal mass who will stick with them as cxz goes back to scon?

wonders never cease. Initially rene meza said this is permanet, not an offer but its obvious he has learnt the art of changing goal posts very fast from the political class. Club 20 calls were also withdrawn, same case for jiachilie na 65/. What next? 50% increase isn't a lot,ITS INSANE!!!! A 25% increase to ksh10.00 to other networks would have been understandable. My safcom line was going to die due to starvation on the 2nd week of june but now I just have to top up inorder to pay less on calls to safcom

No wonder MJ was reluctant to get involved in a price war. Zain must have gotten its projections all wrong on the impact Vuka would have on its revenues. Obviously they didn't hit their targets. Just goes to show that the management have yet to get the hang of Kenyans and their peculiar calling habits!

This is a boon for yu network. It has a flat rate of 7.50 to all networks with very clear reception. It's data charges stands at 3/= per megabyte. Orange is also a must have. Charging 1/= to 5 prefered numbers,3 bob to the rest of the calls within the network and 14 bob across networks. It also has a wider network coverage across the country and is yet to experience congestion .
