Im getting extremely jittery with those heavily armed islamic rebels fighting Gaddafi. Its no longer a mass protest, its a rebel attack. Rebels supported by the STUPID USA. Libya is the nxt Iraq. Oil Oil Oil! Look at Egypt n Tunisia. Completely distabilized to date albeit thru PEACEFUL DEMOS. Now imagine what MARAUDING HEAVILY ARMED REBELS will do to Libya. Who will disarm them? Who armed them in the first place? Me thinks Libyans will soon regret their actions. Iraq was much better off with Saddam Hussein, at least in later years. Gaddafi falls n Libya quickly follows him to the doldrums. US WINS!! Watch ths space!

look at the price of oil now... the USA should move fast and take over this oil producing countries. this move will stabilize the oil prices at least for a few decades . this is for the benefit of all developing countries. if that doesn't happen the economies of developing countries will be destroyed by prices hitting $300 to $400 a barrel Pray Pray Pray Pray
Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

My guy...One step and problem at a time? Libyan citizens are receiving automatic fire, airplane bombings, kidnappings etc...they are reacting and siding with the few armed rebels previously...The USA is very keen not to be drawn into a war given it already has two to contend with in an economic recession. They intervened in Kenya and we don't have oil...events so far have taken a natural cause. US & Nato to deal with Kadafi as per force required..key question here is what is the AU doing on the other hand as innocent civilians are massacred??????? Don't even ask about the Arab League...

I smell something in Libya too!Liar
Libya population is just 6.5M, compared to the massive Egyptian population of 84M.
The geographical size of the two countries are nearly the same, then why such a big interest from the USA?

The answer is simple = OIL.
Shame on you

Being the 12th oil producing country in the world, little is left to doubt about this US hullabaloo.

By the way , Libya has the best quality of oil in the world. It needs very little refining.

On another front, I think our scientists are sleeping on the job. Africa should not be running any machine on oil but on Solar or electricity. Someone once mentioned to me that if Europe was in Africa, we would be driving solar powereed cars in Sweden ( where Africans would be) I was very hurt!!! Only to turn on the news and see young doctors hitting the streets like Gor Mahia fans eti they do not want to work for the people who trainned them for three years!!! ( three years is a very short time and you get the best exposure in Public hospitals!!! ABK!) No wonder tuko nyuma!!Pray Pray

They are the ones who should give everyone else a break.....they always have something to say on almost everything yet they end up doing nothing about it.

“Every day we hear a statement by Obama… (saying) Egypt don’t do this, Tunisia don’t do that… What does Obama have to do with Oman, what does he have to do with Egypt? You are the US president,” Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said Tuesday. LOL..He later had his assistant call White House to tell Obama pole. hehe

Everybody else and all other leaders talk about other countries and other leaders, the difference is that the others do not have a voice, so they don't get the air time, USA gets coz it's the super power, live with it!!!!!

They are ever so vocal in critising other leaders yet no one even talks of how the democrats lost control of the lower House in the disastrous midterm elections. This is the same kind of behaviour that led to what we witnessed in 9/11.

President Obama gave his first speech on African soil in Cairo, Egypt. He encouraged the youth and Arab world to embrace democracy...he then neglected and let them receive the full brunt of the various dictatorial regimes during their peaceful uprisings. The Arab youth do feel betrayed.

The rebels lose gnd to loyalists. I feel nothing 4them. They should never have taken the civil war route, so let them eat gaddafi's bombs, since it has turned into a legitimate war against insurgency. These fools invited the mad man's wrath onto themselves. How can u NOT want to be bombed to smitherens whilst u r wielding a battle tank? Point is, Gaddafi's defensive actions are now justifiable. Any govt will always fight off any threat to its survival, whether real or imagined. If Egypt hasnt recovered fm peaceful demos, Libya may never.

Recent tribal clashes in western Libya left 105 people dead and some 500 injured, the government has said.
