@mukiha a smartphone is basically a micro laptop. So you can sync basically all your computer-related tasks to your phone. Works very well for those whose lives are highly digitised

Since Nokia has opted to partner with Microsoft windows Phone 7 I think if I was a shareholder I would be pissed by the reason given for that merger....the CEO claims it was prompted by a desire to avoid a 'duopoly'in the mobile industry between google/nokia and apple.

The CEO who is claimed to have substantial shares in Microsoft and having been former employee of the company might actually have conflict of interest in the deal In my opinion.

My life is quite highly digitised....I think; But I still don't see the need of the smartphone...

Perhaps it is meant for those who hardly ever take a break from work... they want to work from anywhere. Me? Work ends when I leave the office at 4.30pm and starts the following day at 7.30am

True that boss. I have never understood what the noise on anderoid is all about!
