For the first time in ages our midfield played well but we still lost.. DAMN!

It was a good game end to end stuff it deserved a winner. SAF should stop complaining about the ref. Things like that happen all the time.

TAZ. Two yellows = 1 ban. Straight red 3 bans. So Vidic will miss the Liverpool game only.

Yesterdays game was huge and it was imperative that both teams needed a win, as it stands pressure on Man U.

I was at the game jana, and was fortunate to seat with a colleagues brother who works with the youth team for West ham and gave us some valuable insights.

* Both teams played 4-4-2, this signified they were both going in for the kill.
* It was clear Chelsea was trying to under the skin of Rooney, his linkage PLAY is devastating at times, and after the last game there was no way the ref was going to show mercy on him (it's all psychology).
* The first goal was unexpected and Chelsea were rattled, (caught ball watching)Man U should have gone in for the jurgular at this point to put the game to bed. Chelsea were playing for the hal-time(apparently it's very difficult to lift yourself up in a game esp when playing a world class team.
* Man U's midfiled is out of sorts and this is where they are weakest, run the mid-filed, run the show.
*Second half, that's what Chelsea did, Essien,Lampard,Luiz they got into their faces and with any big team (esp with big egos like Man U) they will try retaliate, how? this is open for discussion. Reason why Barca is so good, is coz they never get angry, never loose your temperament, you will loose the game.
*Chelsea's mid-field started controlling the game and Man U were operating a very deep line (they had been pushed to the corner)When Vidic fouled Essien, it was only a matter of time before drogba got in and do the rest, tag, pull, push and Vidic does not react well to a formidable challenge.
*Long balls to drogba and knowing Vidic, he will want to prove he is no slouch, it's amazing what this guy sayed seemed to happen in the pitch almost immediately. (ofcourse he also gave tit-bits on Man U's actions) ie putting on bebatov and giggs, this was purely strenght and their ability to hold the ball.

Amazing football this game is, such games, past form does not count, it's all bout strategy on the day, tactics and the big one luck

Van der sar will be irreplacable (Man U will struggle)

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Ric dees, agree with most of your sentiments, it was a big and entertaining game, as you say the big one....luck played a role and we lost!!!

TAZ: Vidic will only miss one game against the fools, I guesse Oshea will partner Smalling in centreback as Rafael gets back to the team on the right!!

i still think manu will still win the premier league, when you look at it its still man-u to loose, yes they have liverpool but we have to agree that they were a little un-lucky last night. but that is football, rooney escaped a red card last match and this time it was man-u time to fry!! bu i still think that they will win. the only realistic challenger is arsenal who have van-persie and walcott out. i stand corrected though.

Nice analysis by your friend @Ric, I would agree with most, especially about going for the kill when you score first. I have seen it with so many teams, why play for a lead in the half when you can can kill off the game (or at least make it very difficult for the other guys to recover)...saw it with Barca at the Emirates (twice), have seen it with Man Utd countless times!

One can only imagine the titles we'd have won (especially CL) if VdS had been signed in from Ajax immediately - if wishes were horses. I agree he'll be irreplaceable, at least not immediately.

After yesterday's game, Sato becomes even more massive. Fergie has said he'll play Wes Brown for Vidic, only the final score will tell how that will play out. Suarez & Carrol vs Wes & Smalling. I don't like the sound of that

As long Mpesa will be down during those periods, we wont bother much.
Remember Safcon was upgrading the system over the weekend and it spilled over to midweek and thus there was no way SAF could Mpesa the refs during the match.

Last night I felt what @Mwenza's rallying call of him being happier when arsenal loses than man u winning. It was ecstatic to say the least.

On to the Anfield game.Just like Chelsea were resting after playing FC Copenhagen and waiting for the game at the bridge, the scousers are also waiting without a game ready to pound on a hapless man utd.I see fatigue from the Chelsea game taking a toll on the devils.

Am not sure whether Brown will have enough match fitness to handle Suarez or Ngog/Caroll.Smalling has been hugely impressive but at Anfield, the intimidation by the kop will rattle the Man utd defence. The midfield in the absence of Anderson(I stand to be corrected) will struggle and Berbatov and Hernandez are basically not "big game" players to score in such massive games.
Rooney and Nani will as usual give problems to the Liverpool backline.

All said and done I see another loss or at best a draw for United.

@ Kangi..... the best team actually won...hehe and by way, check if Jus Blazing, Mcrg & Mundublack are still around... he was seen hovering around ukwala and word has it that some vital commodities in the super - like ropes and ties - are missing...?

@Wendz, tuko mbaya. There's no regret in losing in the manner that we did. Kamba? Kamba hukaa aje? I dont think Man U fans know if they exist. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Are you serious, the only trophy that might be just a little bit out of reach at the moment is the CL, the other two are very open. Why do Manugu fans think they'll beat us, like i said you struggled to score your "weird" goal at Old Trafford and you never really outplayed us......it was a very dull game. Its a pity we won't have RvP for that match again but Cesc is expected to start this time.

As for the League, all we have to do is win against a Sunderland side that has been in poor form of late and has so many of their starting players out injured. L'fools have never really been a threat at the Emirates while the Spurs match can go either way.

I don't expect much from the Barca match, we need to concentrate on the EPL because we have what it takes to win it this season and the upcoming fixtures are a bit favorable.

Between the EPL trophy and Man-u lie three must win fixtures - Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea...it wont be easy but they should keep their noses infront...unless SAF gets the 4 match touchline ban he deserves

@Mc Reggae... true all will lose points. But on paper those three are the toughest man-u games. Not ruling out that other teams like fulham, everton can still pick points off united.

And by the way, you will be playing arsenal on I think may 1 and followed next next by chelsea! The arsenal game is being billed as a title decider.
