Hmmm...People still trust America?? Really? Then I think u can throw anythng at Kenyans n they will swallow without a 2nd thought. SOVEREIGNTY, to me, is WHAT WE FOUGHT FOR n GOT IN 1963. Careful who u trust, I'd rather TRUST A KENYAN DEMON THAN A FOREIGN DEVIL! Thats why politicians r against this disguised colonialism....my sovereign n free thoughts

sovereignty is when we the people are free of those who are killing us.

sovereignty is nothing without the people. 'sovereignty' is not a brand.

One way or another we must have a Local tribunal as soon as possible to prosecute the Killers, Rapists, looters, inciters and organizers who Ocampo decided to overlook. Ruto and UK might be guilty as charged but i don't believe they were responsible for what happened in Kisumu, Mombasa or Nairobi.

@Sigiriri well said. The political will to prosecute the masterminds of the PEV has been lacking and will be lacking. The Kenya Penal Code is sufficient to prosecute whoever killed even a neighbours chicken. What has been done? The youths who were arrested were soon released for political expediency.

On the shuttle business, now the MK camp has realized the futility of lobbying the AU and the UN and are now bending over to lobby the ICC (today's DN back page). So with the way through the UN seemingly closing fast, they now see the need to lobby Christian Wanesser. All along this was a sheer display of wastefulness and inverted priorities.

Baks should send Kalonzo back to Tripoli to follow up on his "shuttle mission" with Gadhaffi.....BK!

If ICC were what it ought to be, I would probably support them on the Kenyan case.
If ICC had cases on US nationals, Israelis, Brits ect, to demonstrate their impartiality and blind application of the law, then they would convince me.

If US ratified the ICC charter,- that would give the court a boost in credibility.

If US wasnt practising HYPOCRISY on ICC, may be I would view the court defferently!

If in the Kenyan case ICC's Ocampo had gone for the real culprits with the GREATEST RESPONSIBLITY maybe I wouldnt be in doubt.

If only Ocampo had handled the case in a judicious way and generally in a manner devoid of politics and unnecessary chest thumping and threats of setting example of us....

The above not withstanding, Kenya Govt is RIGHT to fight to take control over the prosecution of crimes commited on Kenyan soil by Kenyan citizen.

If the Kenyan Govt took any other position, then they would need to relinguish power on account of abdication of basic responsibility, and wishing away our SOVEREIGNTY.

It is one thing to try and fail and quite another to just resign to fate!!!

Even cronically ill people are taken to hospital knowing all to well that they may lose the fight for their life.

You missed the point. These guys were going no matter what. MK intentions were to split ODM because it was obvious that RO would rather sacrifice Ruto than have him around.

BBI will solve it

Al Amin Kimathi, a Kenyan, is languishing in jail in Uganda. Kenya took him there. He and other people. Surely our 'sovereignty' is at stake here. Surely you will demand he is returned. Surely Kalonzo will stop by, if he hasnt stopped by, Kampala and lobby for Kenyas sovereignty. Isnt it?
