At least this one looks more genuine than that of one Ndura Waruinge. Could it be a case of from Saul to Paul?
BTW ...juz wondering why the AG acquitted this man on murder charge esp. when his lawyer ( Muite) was preparing to start submissions. Is this justice to the murder victims?

@MADE

He said 'We participated in elections.......They brought 100k,200k,400k at night. I never spend a coin to build this house and buy 20 acre land - well wishers and friends'....... that wasnt me and you..... now you have an answer.

>> the bigger picture is....Maina got saved....1) to save his life from kwekwe. he would have been shot or killed in an engineered road accident...and i still don't rule it out that it won't happen....2) madam bishop sees it as an opportunity to increase her flock and political clout....and in waiting is Bishop maina njenga and a potential honourable member...who might be ordained in the next few weeks while bonafide members are still choir leaders........I still think maina should go back to king'ong'o coz something bad is in the offing....either he will be killed or mungiki will become stronger.....

Like most Kenyans I am still skeptical but leave God to judge....and like they said on NTV news jana ... there is no form of acceptance of past inactions,thus people who do not want to get caught will be going to church,give up their guns,bangi and stuff,get saved,then after some time backslide and walk free...

Should Religious confessions (turning points) be used in court in favour of a suspect?
I still think the murder case shud've been allowed to proceed to completion. At least the public wud have known the real godfathers of the cult.

What an analogy between Maina Njenga and Saul turned Paul. Both of them persecuted Christians. Both were later jailed. Both were freed from prison under extraordinary circumstances. Both left prison as Christians. Both went out to evangalise. Let us wait and see whether Maina Njenga was actually transformed while in prison like Saul was.

Religious confessions shouldn't be used in court,they are strictly private and confidential. That is why this new trend places serious thugs and justice between a rock and a hard place .... they do become smarter by the day ... but like waswahilis say .. siku za mwizi ...

the guy should just take extreme care....he has information that very few have...Its only a few days and soon his former colleagues will start shouting 'betrayal' and baying for his blood. He has two sets of enemies - Mungiki leaders and Mungiki funders....they will seek to eliminate him before he spills the beans... May God protect this poor soul.

I have no problem with the convesion of Maina. It might be genuine..who knows.. God is Great.

I however doubt his followers. Salvation is not a multitude thing. I mean,you dont just get converted because the others are doing it. I foresee genuine christians leaving JIAM and being replaced by fakes.

This could be the beggining of the end to Bishop Wanjiru's ministry.

@Fundamentali

Saul encountered Jesus on the way to Damascus to deliver letters from the high priest on imprisonment of more christians and not in prison.

I concur....Mungiki has a leadership set up that cannot juz be wished away. Much as Maina was the undisputed leader,there are several unit commanders who may not let go easily....bearing in mind the millions they mint thru illegal collections.

@Noble

It was while in prison he saw the light. He was a persecuter of Christian before then.

Did anyone hear Maina telling wanjiru ' this is no longer your church...it is our church'???? Bishop wanjiru could be out for a big surprise esp if mungiki form more than half the congregation!

Acts 9:1-10 (English Standard Version)

The Conversion of Saul
1But Saul,(A) still(B) breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord,went to(C) the high priest 2and asked him for letters(D) to the synagogues at Damascus,so that if he found any belonging to(E) the Way,men or women,he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3(F) Now as he went on his way,he approached Damascus,and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him,'Saul,Saul,why are you persecuting(G) me?' 5And he said,'Who are you,Lord?' And he said,'I am Jesus,(H) whom you are persecuting. 6But(I) rise and enter the city,and you will be told(J) what you are to do.' 7(K) The men who were traveling with him stood speechless,(L) hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8Saul rose from the ground,and although his eyes were opened,(M) he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9And for three days he was without sight,and neither ate nor drank.
10Now there was a disciple at Damascus named(N) Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision,'Ananias.' And he said,(O) 'Here I am,Lord.'
