Leo Spurs vs Milan. Do you think they will repeat an Inter? Ama wamepita sell-by-date? Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity. ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Both teams are depleted by injuries, Milan mostly in the midfield...Spurs without Bale and Modric though Crouch and VdV could play...I have not been watching highlights of Serie A but Milan have been resurgent this year and I think their pedigree will come through, especially with Ibra in top form I understand. I think if Spurs get an away goal (like it ends 2-1) then they'll be in a better position in the return at home...too close to call but I see Milan edging them out tonight 2-1 BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

I'll go for 4-1 result in favour of AC Milan......the experience is there, depth, quality and form.

Milan will be playing with an attacking trio of Robhino, Pato and the rejuvenated Ibra, that is an attck to be feared by any team, I see Milan edging Spurs by a small margin of 1 goal as I am certain they will get on the very least an away goal!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

@kivairu, funny AC Milan made your list. Wamelambwa mara tatu sasa na English teams. Spurs pip a Gattuso -brainless AC Milan team. Gomes' saves were on point. next game Gattuso misses n spurs welcome Gareth Bale. With that I predict 3 EPL teams in quarters. Y'all know the team that will be MIA... @Kivairu, blah blah have an edge going into white hart lane...let's remember this is not the Rossonieri of old, last night they didn't create that many chances and surprisingly Gomez didn't blunder when they did. While there's still another 90 minutes to play, I think with Bale and Luka Modric likely to feature in the return match, I'll believe in pedigree if Milan go through. I actually thought Milan would win with a 1-goal margin but was certain Spurs would get an away goal. Back to tonights thriller, (you know it will be so coz Arsenal don't pack buses), I seriously think Arsenal can at the very least get a scoring draw like they did last season and if there's collective defending (the thing that Arsenal lacks), without Puyol, who knows? Psych! Barca to win it 2-1 BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

I know believe we might have a chance against Barca with Puyol's absence. Last season we played both legs (home/away) without our top striker but still managed to breach their defense three times. In the first leg at the Emirates, Messi was completely marked out, i think he was even substituted at some point in the match....i still blame Manugu's reject Silvestre and Almunia for our performance in the second leg at Camp Nou.
Apart from Vermaelen, all our top players will be available for tonight's match, so this time we have no excuse for losing.

Going through the UEFA CL website, I was quite surprised to learn that no team outside of England has won at the Emirates in the 27 CL games (that includes qualifiers) that have been played there... Well, with Messi having scored 24 goals in 20 La Liga games and 43 in 39 games for club and country, I don't see how he'll be denied. With Nasri, Cesc and RvP and no Puyol with Pique a card away from suspension in the next game, the gunners should fancy a draw. I simply can't envision Kscielny and Squillaci keeping away a team that had 2 midfielders and 2 strikers in the FIFA team of the year - no need to mention who they are. Many teams are hoping arses can do it, if only to avoid the compe. Damned if you do, damned if you don't BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

TAZ wrote:i still blame Manugu's reject Silvestre and Almunia @Taz, what is it with you and Man Utd? Totally unrelated! And who bought Silvestre? In Wenger we trust? Relax and focus on your game tonight. Marking out Messi does not prevent the goals, as you and Jose Mourinho are well aware...he draws 3 players to him leaving Villa with all the space in the world. That said, I will agree with you that your chances are better this time but this is Barca and this is the CL, anything can happen as we saw last night at San Siro. What I know for sure is that it'll be a beautiful match BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

What I know for sure is that it'll be a beautiful match Silvestre was a Man Utd reject who came to Arsenal for less than 1m pounds, i really never understood why Wenger bought this guy because he was still a liability at Old Trafford. If you look at the highlights of that match against Barca you'll understand why I'm saying he's to blame. At the back, our main defender so far has been Djourou...in fact i don't think we've lost any match in which he's played. Any team that manages to keep the Barca midfield players occupied will be assured of a win or a draw and that is where Cesc and Nasri come in. I don't want to be accused of making excuses for our poor performance against Barca last season but at Emirates we lost both Arsharvin and Gallas in the first half through injury...they were replaced by Eboue and Denilson.

Before last year, for FIVE consecutive years since Liverpool's famous comeback victory in 2004-2005, there was an EPL team in the Champs League final, winning 2 and losing out on 3. Before last year, EPL teams were hogging the Champs League semis en masse. In cases where 3 out of 4 teams were EPL sides in 07/08 and 08/09. Bayern? Apart from last year?? AC Milan? Are you serious or just showing us you know these teams? Real Madrid, well with Mourinho at the helm, they are a threat. However, remember this, for the past SIX years, yes 6, since 2004-2005, they havent made it past the 2nd round. So kama CL iko na wenyewe, get your facts right, and stop blah, blah, blahrring...
