And in other news referee Howard Webb awarded an MBE in the UK new years honours list for his "services to football."He is the first(PGMO) Proffesional Game match Official to receive such an award.Over to you Arsnals & Pensioners.......

Seems we have won the psychological battle, not much reviews bout chelski...well well well.

Todays fixtures are tricky, however anything is possible, i don't see Man U loosing quite frankly however a draw may seem plausible. Chelsea, well lets wait and see, if we win this game we are surely back in contention.

Where have you been @Ric dees? People stopped talking about Chelsea long time ago - you can go through this thread and see. You have to EARN [back] the right to be talked about. Kazi kwenu!

And how does winning put you back in contention? What would put you back in contention is the top team - Man U - and the other two teams loosing!

Every Man Utd player is back including Van Der Saar, Rafael and Evra while Aston Villa have Warnock and Delph out with injuries, Agbonlahor might miss too - last season the loss to Villa was at the height of the Rio Vidic injuries...I don't see us losing at The Theatre with a full strength team that has been convincing at home. If Vidic continues with his form, Bent will be neutralized. I predict a 2-1 win

Arsenal are without Nasri and Squillaci but Van Pussy is in fine form, don't think Everton will have Cahill back and the gunners seem to have shrugged off their initial poor home form, 2-1 to the gunners though a draw will be nice, a win for Everton orgasmic.

As for the Chelsea match, I think the squad migth be buoyed by the new signings, even if they don't play. As someone up there mentioned, players might want to prove their worth in the team + Sunderland have many injuries (Welbeck, Zenden, Turner, Campbell) so I think Chelsea might just win it; 2-1 to the Blues

Ric Dees, the only comfort I get from a revamped Chelsea is that Man Utd are solid though have been shaky away. I shall comment when the moment nears

In competitive sports any new addition of world class players has a huge psychological boost to an exsisting squad and the ripple effect is easily felt right from training.

The 2 players add a new dimension to Chelsea, while am not too quick to comment on Luiz as many a-time players have taken longer than expected to get accustomed to the rigors of the EPL. however that's not the case with Torres, maybe the small matter of clicking with new players.

That said, after today i do not see us dropping points again in the forseable future and the 2 games against Man U will take us right back in it.Please book mark this post and quote me come end of May!!

I can bet he'll score a hat trick. As long as Berba and Chicharito keep scoring as well,Vidic n Rio stand firm and Giggs and Nani continue their fine form,United are firmly in the driving seat. By the way the goal against Arsenal by Everton is the most absurd offside I've ever seen,hapo gunners wameibiwa live!No complaints here thoughsmile

Some of us saw the goal you know, it was more of a shot...a bit similar to Sagna's goal against Leeds.


The FA should take immediate action against Lee Mason, he nearly cost us the win last night. There is no way anyone claim Everton's goal wasn't offside. The players responded so well in the second half, at some point in the game the possession was 100% - 0%. Next stop Newcastle!
