Capital Talk on K24 last night - Guest: Francis Muthaura....
'Uganda is more important to Kenya than Migingo,they are our largest trading partners worth over 42b. We cannot afford to lose them. Kenyans should stop thinking with their emotions.'

Typical Kenya thinking-money.We can cede our land/water becos of money we receive in trading with Uganda.What about the movement of beacons in Pokot? If that is the reasoning of a senior civil servant then we are doomed.

@ Chaka do you know Kenya made Shs 43b from flower export to Europe 2007 and 40b in 2008? I'm sure with RVR (containers) and all the oil tankers and cargo trailers to Uganda we must be making much more.

@mtaalam,

I asked about UG's billions i.e are bananas and waragi enough to generate the billions they use to trade with Kenya considering that the oil they struck is yet to be exploited?

That Muthaura talk is very cheap.....they would spend more than that 42B elsewhere if their relations with Kenya were to break!!!

.......wonder why sometimes they sing about sovereignity!!!!!

@ mtaalam i agreed that ug gives us over 40b.. but that's not a reason for us to cede migingo.. after all 40b is trade & ug is not giving us for free..
