Admin @wazua please help and put a poll option. Also, I think that if you're a bit of both(employed but with a business on the side, or vice versa), put the option which you rely on to make a living as your choice

What is the objective of the poll? so that when we start polling we know why we are doing so.

Simple user profiling. Just for the sake of knowing what kind of environment Wazua is. It would help alot if people were to post in words how they voted

Insightful;
1. My dream is to achieve the best, whatever the chosen option
2. My admiration for those who transition from employ-> entrepreneur -> investment

You have just described the people who are driving the Kenyan economy.Soon in think employers will be asking prospective employees to declare their wealth as a reference search.

Sample size is still too small. We need at least 100 people to choose

Oft' written how the young pine for love. But I tell you I have seen a young entrepreneur with a dream, and I'd liken them to a mad hatter. They eat drink sleep the dream, and in a few very rare cases become the legends we all look up to.

So what does what does this mean in the Kenyan context, when founders of technology companies leave their babies to seek employment?
-Paul Kukubo leaves 3Mice to join ICT board
-Ory Okolloh leaves Ushahidi to join Google
-Moses Kemibaro leaves DotSavvy to join MIH Dealfish

Explanations:

3mice's cashflow issues were well documented, and though Kukubo left, the company is still running(I think its his sister running it)

Ushahidi is not a business. It's a fun ride for a noble cause and once a proper exit shows up, you take it. For a leader of an open-source company, a job at Google is one of the best exits you could get. By that time Okolloh had built Ushahidi into a 2million dollar company, with a flourishing asset base(iHub and NaiLab), so her leaving does not mean Ushahidi is dead

In the case of DotSavvy, to be honest I did not know that Kemibaro had left, and I don't think its true. Verification needed
