Still surpised, the last game has not become the last game.

Am happy that fans put up posters requesting ance-who to quit. Now that removes one haedache for abrahamvich as sacking ance-who will not antagonise the fans.

This is just good management. Even where you work, a good manager wouldn't go shouting about who he is planning to fire tomorrow, next week, next month etc. If it is retrenchment/staff downsizing maybe.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

why is everyone baying for his blood yet Last year he was the darling of every one? That is the problem with EPL. Every Failure is associated with the coach and the coach is not even given time to redeem himself. I believe lex Ferguson spent almost 5 years without a cup at the old Trafford. Chelseas problem is deeper than Ancelloti. There was a time when Chelsea had two equally strong team A and B. Today, the team is struggling to make team A. The departure of Ray Wilkins is another factor, remember, the slump started immediately he was let go. Morever, at the beginnning of the season, Abramovic slashed players bonuses by half and this could have an impact. most importantly, the better part of the chelsea squad is in their football menopause. Today's players can not play for as many years like the likes of Del Piero, Maldini, Raul, Van der Sar and Giggs. Most of the current generation players start wasting away at 28 and by the time they are 32 -33..their form slumps terribly. Chelsea has six such players starting with Drogba, Anelka, Ferreira, Lampard,Ashley Cole and John Terry. If Ancheloti is a problem, then his problem lies in not finding better replacement for these menopausal players

@marex...your arguments are true.

But remember that the coach picks the players. He has to motivate them to win. He has to employ tactical play that will bring in results. And he doesnt go off and buy a 'Ramires' as his 'marquee' signing. And given the transfer window is open, there is no hint that he is moving in to correct the situation.

In my opinion Abrahamvich wants a company not a football team. In case Ancelotti should just pack and go.

Chelsea academy has a very big potential but Ancelloti has not exposed them to top flight football the way wenger does. I know of a chelsea youngster called Joshua Josh McEachran who could be more lethal than Essien

Anceloti is not going anywhere.....Abrams has learnt that changing managers every year will not pay....so he will give him time to build a stronger squad
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

I don't think Carlo is the problem...I think Roman is...

From what I understand, Ramirez was not exactly Carlo's choice...

Guys have been saying Ray Wilkins's sacking was inconsequential but the drop in form immediately afterwards was not a coincidence...

30 yr+ players don't have as much hunger as 25 year olds...especially after winning the double last season...

Maybe they're hungry for the CL but form in other competitions has a bearing on that, not to mention some element of luck that is required...

As a Man Utd fan, it is music to my ears despite the fact that arses and shitty are breathing down (or is it up?) our necks, waiting for our first loss or a major slip up to destabilize us...

I think Man City are not to be dismissed and should be a force to reckon with next season and beyond (if not this one...) especially once they click and the chaff (Adebayors, Santa Cruz's and the like) are separated from the wheat

@ Smano...If Tevez, Balloteli and Dzeko click; then Man city will be the team to beat in the future. They have the goal keeper and the defence....and one of the most compact midfields

I think one of the reasonswhy Roman can't let go of Ancelloti now is because of the severance packge that would follow....10M pounds. This kind of money is no longer negigible to him especially knowing very well that currently there's no particular manager who can guarantee success at Chelsea.I think its about time players like Drogba, Cole, Anelka etc were sold and replaced with upcoming talents around Europe......
