I think Blue Band, Kiwi have also stood the test of time.

Chang'a, Busaa, Muthotho... the collective as a brand.

1 -Blue Band - so much that when we are out of Prestige/Biddy's/etc, I can be heard exclaiming, rather sadly "There's no BB?" BTW Thank goodness they discontinued the bread spread - I still have not finished greasing my 504 door locks with it....two years later....

2 - Toyota - 95.34% of the cars are Toyota's. In 1983 I recall I could recite all 70 or so different cars in the Safari Rally - down to the model...and the drivers. VERY few were Japanese cars. These days I cannot tell a Toyota from a Mazada from a Honda. Its just a Toyora (Kikuyu-American twang!)

3 - Unga (and the windmill)

4 - Ketepa - more 70-90 year olds know Ketepa than they do Safcom.

Safaricom, Tusker, Senator, KCB, Equity, kplc, Co-op Bank, Bidco, KQ, Mumias Sugar, Nakumatt, Nairobi Hospital, Nation newspaper, Citizen, DT Dobie, Bata, Ketepa, Gor Mahia, KTN, Carnivore, Yana (former Firestone tyres)

And many others but I consider these to be the strongest.
