Don't know if this will be helpful or even understandable but here goes....... I also had a similar problem with my toyo. It would vibrate in jam when stationary especially on hot days or when the engine is hot .................... I dont recall it happening when the engine was cold. Talked to a mechanic who advised the following.... open the place wher the air from the air filter gets into the engine block. On the inside of the engine block when you look in through the opening,there will be a valve and a small hole just below and infront of the valve that seems to by pass the valve from below and tokezea on the other side of the valve. You may discover that that hole plus the valve are covered in soot. Try cleaning out this soot with a solvent and cloth( I think one brand name is widex.... available in the supermarket) Clean that whole inlet as best as you can and see if that helps.Try squirting some of the solvent into the air inlet with the engine running to clean up other valves inside that you cannot reach. It worked for me and a freind of mine also who owns a starlet. Be ready for a bit of a hard start when you are through. Rather than spending all your time reading about the future and trying to figure the nuances of what is it might hold,may be you should spend at least as much time getting to know Him better (David Jeremiah)

@Sasha - if you could somehow define the 'vibrating' - 1)slight vibration like is felt on the steering when wheels are not balanced - i.e. not enough to spill coffee if you are holding a cup full. 2) serious vibration (like going over very small rubble strips - the prrrp! sort of thing when you drive over small rubble strips at abt 60kph or like driving fairly fast on a road filled with hard core (rocks) or a murram road that has small gullies across it owing to erosion 3) violent shaking with some knocking (kak kak kak!) sounds....also,is the vibration more noticeable on any particular part of the car? brake peddle? under carriage? steering wheel? where? FINALLY and do excuse my ignorance about Toyotas (I make up for this in non-Japanese cars) - is it carburettor or EFI? If carburettor and something is blocked (or the inlet has developed too much carbon/soot like someone said below) it can cause a stutter which can be pretty violent since the air inlet is closed when idling....so essentially the car is choking....
