Thank Kenya for providing lessons. Clever West Africans have noted and said 'thanks but no thanks' to power sharing.

The ogas are not shy in using the big stick. Coups, topples and revolutions are common as pharmacists in our bunge.

@Sparkly, good lessons indeed. Kenya remains just a loud mouthed country with few deeds. Our military could not salvage the motherland at that hour of need 2007/08 let alone salvage naughty neighbouring Somalia. We don't have the numbers first, ours is a skeleton army, just for the show. Then our political/strategic interests are in conflict with a peaceful Somalia (sic) so the policy is hazy.

We are so scared of reprisals from Al shabaab, because we care more about foreign investors/interests being threatened than our our own long term interests. The proposal to have a standby EA Community brigade was put on ice esp by Kenya.

Why can't Kenya donate RAO as the Chief mediator in the dispute presidential polls in Ivory Coast? Apparently, he has solutions to all political disputes in Africa.

@Rahatupu, the AU has a rule discouraging frontline states from participating in missions

Kenya has a good record as a peace keeper in west africa but the choice of "mediator" is misplaced for obvious reasons.
