This fellow is barely a month old in Wazua, he is 'bartering' land for a car, will not give details of the land in an open forum - to avoid scrutiny I guess, apparently can't manage his finances etc. etc.

All I can say is, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, swims like a duck...
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

maybe the 1.8mil figure is a bit mind boggling for you

1.8m is a huge amount to be conned by an oga wanna be! Heck, any amount is too much to be conned!

"Ama you will get a project worth 1.8m out of nowhere just hours after selling the land":- this statement is unwarranted because you dont know me to establish what kind of business i do

Trust me, by now I have a very good idea what kind of 'business' you are into. Be warned though. The Wazua crowd is a tough one. Hapa huwesmek!!!

its good you have been here in wazua for some time. this is a business forum. the number one thing that such a forum should teach you, is you never argue with a client or a potential client.

instead of trying to counter your argument i am going to tell you a story.
i have written before that this is not an experiment, i have batered before but this is an experiment here in wazua.
i will go into the record books of wazua, as a wazuan who posted the first real request for a barter trade in the wazua market.
it has been a exiting experience. my first contact was someone who had a rav4 that prompted me to post that i dint wish for a rav4 or xtrail
i had to be a bit specific.
so far i have received 5 offers 3 toyotas and 1 pajero. i have viewed all offers exept the rav 4. i turned down one toyota and the pajero for being a bit old than what i was looking for(over valued vehicles).the owner of the third toyota changed his mind because he decided to buy a plot in cash at a different location that suited him.
the 5th offer is a love offer from a wazuan lady calling herself mirian, she has promised to mail me her photos if i reply through her email (i wonder why she dint send them in the first place)

any business is a risky business. thats why you should approach any business with caution.
i might be a con artist. but what if i am not, but i get an offer from one? i have seen a friend who bought a car only to realize that the car was hired for two weeks the papers were manufactured in river road . after the two weeks the owners tracked the car(trak it) and collected it.unfortunately he lost about 700k in the deal.

my offer is still on until 15th jan 2011 from then on i will walk into this century and ask for cash for the plots.

@apog i put my faith in cash. This is not like bartering 10 chickens for a goat.

@ apogeus, i stand to be corrected , land transaction in this country do not take the form of barter trade ama how will you effect transfer of the land to the potential barter/ car owner, this really smells like a con , and wazuans u had better be ware.

allow me to correct you:-
in kenya the documents that show you legally own a piece of land are a title deed or certificate of lease etc
the documents that show you legally own a car is just a vehicle logbook under your name
to confirm the the entries in the documents you either conduct a search in the Ministry of lands offices ,and in the case of the car at the KRA

to transfer a title deed or a logbook to another party, its a legal process that involves documents like transfer-forms copies of ID and agreements witnessed by lawyers etc

in this case
one car valued 1.8mil = one 1/8acre plot

the only thing that will exchange hands are the necessary legal documents to effect a transfer

if i have left out any detail or you still have a question on this post. i will be glad to explain in the best way i can.
