We have a long running thread on 'anything premier league'. No need to duplicate efforts/threads.

Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Let's conveniently forget that Man - U's game was canceled and Arsenal cannot realistically claim they are number one. They can only do so if the games played are equal or if the maximum points that can be earned by games at hand are less than the difference between the teams.

We all know at the beginning of the season, Arsenal are always at the top of the table - Teams are arranged alphabetically before the first game. This is not any different!

I like the way Man Utd fans always console themselves when Arsenal are on top of the league. Just a few games ago they had declared themselves Champions when they were at the top. Man Utd are yet to play and win against Blackpool(which will probably be played mid-Jan) so stop talking as if you already have the three points when you couldn't beat West Brom at home.

Is that the same West Brom that beat Arses 4-3 at Emirates???Shame on you

And we drew with them after that horrendous blunder by Van der Saar?

Anyway, water under the bridge...wish the game was played on Sunday so that we can celebrate properly. I've never been more confident of Man Utd going into a contest with Arses than this one...I just hope Carrick is not in the game.

I would also prefer that Arses showcase their best side and for that reason wish Cesc comes into the match fit - so that there are no excuses as I foresee!

I also expect Man Utd to come out of The Bridge with a draw at the very least judging by the recent performance of the Blues...that will indeed be a nice Dec for Man Utd.

Smano....The West Brom scoreline was 3-2, anyway my point was that you cannot count points in a game you've not played, Blackpool beat L'pool at Anfield and outplayed Man city....i don't think they are as lightweight as you think.

Btw, Arsenal always play Man Utd without at least two of their top players every season. We still can't play Vermaelen at the back but i don't expect any Arsenal fan to use that as an excuse on Monday.

@Nostopping...no fear at all, if it was the Chelsea of the beginning of the year then maybe, the only reason I talk about a draw is because most big teams style up when they play equally big teams, case in point, Liverpool who beat Chelsea convincingly...only to draw and then lose against meagre opposition...I hope that is clear.

Arsenal, on the other hand, mostly falter when it comes to the big games so let's wait for Dec 13th and exchange notes!

@Taz, as you can see I made no mention of Blackpool since we have not played the game and this league has been full of surprises and will continue to bring some I believe...

the game is on 25th Jan by the way.

Arsenal has the highest number of fake fans. On Monday night, you will spot them with the team shirt....until they start losing. They'll have their jackets ready (it is cold anyway)!

And what about the talk of NEXT SEASON?????? Well, that will begin 13th Dec 11.45 pm or thereabouts

I think Arsenal fans are the most loyal fans I've ever met...we've not won a trophy for 5 years but the fan base keeps growing. I don't think the Man Utd/Arsenal game will decide who wins the title regardless of who gets the three points. Both teams have been dropping unnecessary points against the so called "small teams". Arsenal have ALWAYS challenged for the title until the last 2-3 games.
