World Cup 2018 and 2022 And the World Cup 2018 will be held in Russia, while the World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar. England, Netherlands-Belgium, Russia and Spain-Portugal were vying for the 2018 tournament; Australia, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Qatar for 2022. England were knocked out in the first round of voting. Who thinks, like me, that lots of money has been poured to oil the voting hands? Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

england main undoing is their press. bbc chose the wrong time to produce those scandals. their predicament can only be compared to wk situation in 2007 wen he went insulting voters an issue of insulting the hand that feeds you.

I was yearning to see new stadia designs and that makes me happy to hear that Qatar are hosting it. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

I know people like to hate England but i think they deserved a chance to host the 2018 world cup. They have the facilities, the fans and the funding. Last time they hosted the world cup was in 1966....Mexico, Italy, Germany & France have all hosted the world cup more than once. Russia deserved it too but so did England.

England were TOO overconfident. It worked greatly against them. US have hosted the WC before; FIFA were apt to give it to another nation. Maybe, the FIFA officials liked Arshavin over Beckham. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Round 2: Netherlands/Belgium 2 votes, Spain/Portugal 7 votes and Russia 13 votes (Russia obtain absolute majority) England got 2 votes out of 22 in round 1. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Full results of 2022 voting: Round 1: Australia 1 vote, Japan 3 votes, US 3 votes, South Korea 4 votes and Qatar 11 votes. Round 2: Japan 2 votes, South Korea 5 votes, US 5 votes and Qatar 10 votes. Round 3 South Korea 5 votes, US 6 votes and Qatar 11 votes. Round 4 US 8 votes and Qatar 14 votes (Qatar obtain absolute majority) A FIFA inspection team had described a Qatar World Cup as "high risk". Oil can buy you a World Cup. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

C&P After handing the 2022 World Cup to Qatar, FIFA are warning in their official literature that visitors to the emirate should not contravene Sharia law by showing any sign of affection in public, such as holding hands or kissing. At this rate every footballer will be in prison by the end of the first week! Des Kelly, Daily Mail Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity. ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Final proof that governing body is not fit for purpose By Sam Wallace By Qatar's insistence yesterday that the 2022 World Cup finals will be played in the 50C-plus temperatures of a Middle East summer, the hosts have left their erstwhile friend Sepp Blatter, the Fifa president, with a most uncomfortable choice. Either Fifa goes ahead with the 2022 tournament in June and July and risks humiliation on a grand scale, especially if the untested technology to air-condition whole stadiums fails. Or it takes its medicine now and, 11 years before this farcical tournament is due to take place, informs Qatar that it has made a dreadful mistake and will reconsider the host for 2022. This is a mess, and one made by the self-serving dictators of Fifa's executive committee, who are literally making up rules as they go along – awarding tournaments to unsuitable nations and then changing the original spec in order to solve the problems. Fifa is not fit for purpose and, to make matters worse, the Uefa president, Michel Platini, is in it up to his neck. His half-cocked idea to make it a Gulf-wide World Cup rather than just Qatari has been rejected. This is a man trying desperately to cover up a serious mistake and succeeding only in digging the hole deeper. Not even Fifa believes that a World Cup in the summer in Qatar can happen. Unfortunately, the only people who disagree are the Qataris and they are the only ones who can change the dates. Fifa has to admit its mistake and change the 2022 hosts now. ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

What the hell??? FIFA could allow matches at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar to be played over three 30-minute periods if temperatures in the stadiums became dangerously high for the players, a senior stadium engineer told delegates at a conference on Wednesday. ......did the world cup have to be hosted there, ABK!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".
