>> @mtu Biz, My answer borders on simplicity....interment of dead bodies traditionally comprised throwing them in the bush, where the person would continue living happily as bushes. if a dead body is thrown in a river and is eaten by fish, and the fish ends up on our table, is it right to say that person is living through us as nutrients? Organically a person doesn't die, just change in matter. Why do people insist on planting flowers on graves? maybe to let the person continue living.

Spiritually, there is a God....who is associated with Light, the life giver. Maybe its right to say that SUN is supreme, for without it life would stop...it pisses me off when someone tells me to keep open mind, but Re-read the post with an OPEN MIND.

@ much know.

'Something more' is pretty ambiguous... so what do YOU think will happen when you and i eventually die?

@kenmac

Interesting view.
Do you think it is possible to verify if this position is TRUE not just right?

Last time i checked, human mortality is still steady at 100%.

That being the case, what do YOU think or suppose happens after we die?

What informs your view above?

When you die you are DEAD. You cease to exist. It is that simple. Make peace with this fact.

I think so too, that is we will 'know' when it happens...

Interesting, that you will only KNOW if there is anything after this life when you well... die!

Is there any credible source (other than what we think might be true)we can turn to that can give us some idea about the existence or the non existence of life after death?

Ok.

Say there is no life after death, and death is an absolute certainty.. is it fair to say that there is no point in living other than for serious self indulgence?

Or say that there is life or 'change in consciousness' after death.. is there any one who can point me to some credible truth on this?

Anyone.... ?

@Mtu,

If you view truth as absolute and not subjective, then you may believe the sources quoted above.

However, if you need some real life experiences, then CLICK HERE

So what if there is no life after death? Why does this distress you so? Make your own meaning in this short life. For you there being no life after death may mean serious indulgence; for a second person it may mean wanting to making a positive difference in some meaningful way. It is all up to you.

Define and live your life's purpose.

If its all up to me or us...then whey are there laws and why is there morality ?

Wont the law limit MY idea of serious self indulgence ?

In fact, CO2 is supreme, it makes you to breath!
CO2 is the raw material for photosynthesis! the 'food' for the plant, the herbivores and then the carnivores.

did the 'big bang' also set of all these processes?
Why are we not 'evolving' to something else today?
What is the purpose of life, if all one is waiting for, is death?
I care!

Death is a thought, like any other.

The body that dies is the idea that must die.

What is life? It's the bubbling, the bubble, the bursting, the movement, and the stillness of the ocean.

Therefore dying is life. Death is life.

Living is dying. And dying is living.
