correction:
3 Turbo8 at 8Mbps and not 4Mbps

I have used all and my analysis are that mobile internet providers are the best especially safaricom and Orange.

Two years ago I got a quote from Zuku and the connection fee was 8, 500 ksh. They then claimed there was no signal as my house was mopped up by other tall buildings. They suggested I pick another site/person to sell to as refund will take long. I did this and signal failed in two other sites, bottom line I lost the cash. Recently, I tried getting connected in yet another premise near Kenyatta market this too failed and mark you they have an office there. Fortunately, I did not buy their story of suggesting another place and insisted on refund which I got. The thing is, their coverage is very very small and the bad thing, they insist you pay first then claim a refund……..which does not make sense coz they should know beforehand which areas are covered..

@ajhsumar I highly doubt if you have used ALL. And if Orange is good, then I doubt if I can trust you to know what is good.

@otienosmall if it was 2 years ago, then I can assure you that a lot has changed.

Case in point. I paid for another connection to my house on Thursday evening. Got it on Friday morning. If you doubt this, come to my office and I will give you the receipts.

It is faster and better than in my office. So Gordon is right, check your area first.

I'm finding this as another of those web hack jobs by people who claim to be users.

I know that zuku has issues in my office area. Customer service has acknowledged this and its something that we have to live with until fibre comes along. But even thinking of KDN, or orange in the same area is suicide.

If you want to get mobile connectivity, please stick to safaricom and be ready to pay more.

If you are wondering what is faster, fibre or wimax, then you need serious training on internet connectivity. They don't even come close.

But don't forget that this is Kenya and people have a habit of cutting cables to make earings.

As for guaranteed fibre speeds. Trust me, 1Mbps on fibre will be better any day than 2Mbps orange. 8Mbps on fibre is better than 3G any company and cheaper too.
