Hi Guys,

I am Abhishek, a student from India. I am doing some research on Kenyan politics and build up to the 2012 elections.
After reading various topics on this website, i thought this was the ideal place to get first hand info from the real people of Kenya.

So i request you guys to please help me out.

What is the current political scenario in Kenya?
Who are the presidential candidates for the 2012 elections?
Who are the popular politicians in the country?

What does a common man want in Kenya? and is he getting it?

Please contribute to atleast one question.

Looking forward to your opinions and feedback.

Thanks & regards,
Abhishek

For anything that you do research about, be sure that you understand it first .If you are from India , I believe you understand Indian politics better.Do research on Indian politics.

@newfarer: i appreciate your opinion and thoughts. I am hopeful of moving to Nairobi in the future, anyways thats irrevelant at the moment. I am studying plitical scenarios across the world...The world is a global village and i believe we all are together as common men suffering at the hands of politicians.

I hope i get some info, if you dont wish to, no problem i respect your thoughts.

Take care

Firstly, u need to know that the average kenyan is way much politically motivated than the indian. Kenyans know so much about politics more than they know themselves, hence the 2012 question is quite a serious one. The Prime Minister is currently the only known major contestant, and funny enough, he is unlikely to win!

Otherwise the answers you might get here my include the following as the leading presidential aspirants in Kenya as:

1.Barack Obama from Kogello County.
2.'Professor' Bakari of Mombasa county .
3.Artul Sagasyan of Nyeri County .
4.Kamlesh Pattni of Nairobi city county
