I have been always complaining that the major problem in Ukambani is water and visionless leadership.....

Now ,Ngilu has done a wonderful job in the expansive region....running from Voi to Garisa to nairobi to Tsavo east National( a large part of the 'inhabitable' kenyan land .....I think the committee grilling her on ground that she is favoring her region does not understand the graveness of the water problem in Ukambani

The issue is not the famine problem in Ukambani or whether she has done a good job of sinkiing boreholes. North Eastern also has an equally serious water problem. Why not sink as many boreholes there? Why the preference for Ukambani? That's the issue under discussion!

Why are you so focused on Ukambani? Think like a Kenyan first. This is the kind of thinking that divides a country! ABK! What about the rest of Kenya? Israel is a desert country and produces food for export. Whay can't the same be done for Turkana, Garissa and Kieni?

I have a great love for my country ...Mr/s Dia....That is why i am always anti-corruption and anti hate ..and anti tribalist.....if you are old enough in Wazua ...you should be aware of this ....

Let me try to explain why I am focused on Ukambani....which is part of Kenya...

When you hear of relief food ....what region do you think about?isnt it Ukambani?....

Do we have the budget to sink boreholes in all kenya...even in areas where rains are not are problem.....Kieni water/food problem is not perennial as Ukambani...how many times do you see Kieni in the news.....

Who said that no borehole was dug in Kieni... do we have any distribution which shows where the boreholes were dug other that heresay that 30% went to Ukambani.....?where were the 70 % others dug?Umejiuliza hizo maswali? are we sure that no borehole was dug in Garisa and Turkana?

You know why Ukambani is affected by water problems more, and therefore more deserving.. they practise crop farming.... unlike pastoralists you cannot move your crops to where there is rain...ie greener pastures....

Thats why i am so focused on ukambani.....

And by the way Ukambani covers the largest inhabited region in terms of land area than any other region in the country....take a map of kenya

Voi....Mlolongo.....Garissa

Let me reiteliate that I am not defending Ngilu if she misappriated any money..... Being a minister from Ukambani does not mean she cannot focus on problem areas in her ministry

@ fundaah,

you were honey....just that your general attitude towards ngilu in her operations is one of the i-will-definitely-die-for-her type irrespective of the all the sleeplessnesses she has committed in that ministry of water and irrigation...
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

If you are a minister of former minister you're safe. Or in other words, if you have enough dirt to bring down enough 'politically correct' individuals then by default you're a member of the club too.

BBI will solve it

@Fundaah

You were very clear as the sky on a cloudless sunny day over the shimmering sea.

Now that Ngilu was cleared by fellow Mpigs .....what was Kiunjiri upto...did he come accusing Ngilu with clean hands......... ama Ngilu refused to give him his share of corruption proceeds?

BTW ngilu has been doing a commendable job for the people she represents (the Ukambani region..... magigi can confirm smile smile ).....though much more can be done .....
each time I pass through the region ... I see alot of potential .....

The Kari land in Kiboko along mombasa highway is evergreen yet the surrounding population depends on relief food Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you ....Too much research whose results are never implemented for the good of the country....

There are huge tracts of land in which large dams for rain water harvesting can be constructed to provide for irrigation water.....

There are two neglected huge tanks in Masimba market which were constructed by the colonial government...these could be rebuild water pumped in there for irrigation .....

Mum is the Minister,daughter,son-in-law and close relatives get awarded tenders- and all those companies were registered in 2008,then we are told that the tenders went thru through the correct tendering process, tell that to the birds......

She is very popular in Ukambani ( good for her political future),in my view, she has no place on the national stage.
