@Winston,
Unlike what i have watched in years,this league is very competetive.Getting a point from the bottom club is itself sweat of blood.

@Shetanimwekundu,
Fletcher is a good midfielder but Man U clearly needs more depth in mid and especially the holding role....I have in mind three players who are young yet they are teeming with energy and talent.Barry Bannan,Jonathan Hogg (Aston Villa) and and the not so young Stuart Holden (Bolton)....blame my eye...lol
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@impunity...its times like this that I think of (a) never watching another football game (b) switching clubs (c) shooting carlo ancellotti.

First it was 0-1 Mancity, then 0-2 Liverpool, followed by 0-3 sunderland, and next 0-4 birmingham? The blues were completely bure kabisa.

@njunge..agreed. League is tougher and full of surprises. But am fearing for the future at this rate, we shall sooner be battling with spurs and mancity for number 3.

Question i ask myself is whether this could have been tolerated by mourinho? Never I guess.

Never Ever. Let them wait for "next season".

When Essien and Lampard are back, you will see a very different chelsea.

Terry out for several weeks with a nerve problem...could miss the whole of Dec....Alex out for 3 weeks with a knee injury...makeshift defense that battled Sunderland to continue....am loving this...Essien can cover the back line but only for so many matches...more points likely to be dropped.

And we all thought they had depth in squad...wololo...

Reminds me when the Manchester United back four had issues last season...let us see if Chelski can cope...but I doubt, the season has finally kicked off. Drool Drool Drool

I still think Chelsea are the favorites this season despite what happened over the weekend. They've lost three games yet they're still two points clear. All the top teams (Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool & Man City) have all failed to beat Sunderland this season. Chelsea will definitely have problems at the back due to the absence of Terry and Alex but that won't stop Malouda, Kalou, Anelka & Drogba from scoring. I don't think there's any team in the top four that can claim to be strong defensively so far (apart from Chelsea before the injuries)

Arsenal are coming back from multiple team injuries and we are likely to see the full strength gunners this December so i can predict that they will be top come January!Cheski and Ma U are going through what Arsenal have been through for the last nine months but still managed second spot with all those injuries!Could it be the time?

Really? Time for what? The only time that is Arsenal's time is 6 years...and still counting!

Please be on your knees and hope:
a) On Dec 13th, Arsenal beats United (tall order).
b) On Dec 20th, United and Chelshit draw (possible).
c) On Dec 27th, Arsenal beats Chelshit (again tall order).

Otherwise it will be a case of the same old story of next season saying 'This season is our time'...

I really can't wait for the Arsenal/Man Utd game, ati tall order. Apart from your 'unbeaten run' i haven't seen anything impressive from Man Utd this season.

@Taz, thats the funny thing. They've not been impressive and yet are only 3 points off the top. We all know United's season really kicks in in the second half of the season. Sadly, that normally coincides with Arse's decline!

Mwenza & Jus Blazin, What i meant is that i haven't seen anything that could worry Arsenal players.

By late April last season this is how the league look liked at the top, so i don't really get it when you talk of Arsenal's "decline". We lost two games after that (Spurs & Wigan) due to injuries to almost all our defensive players, nothing to do with poor form.

PLD GD PTs
1 Chelsea 34 54 77
2 Man Utd 34 51 73
3 Arsenal 34 39 71

Its not that Man Utd perform better in the second half of the season, you always depend on Chelsea & Arsenal to start dropping points later on. Your performance never changes....late goals in the dying minutes of the game. I don't expect Arsenal to go on the decline this season because we've been able to get good results even without our top players.

Chelsea unfortunately will unravel this season. Teams are smelling blood and are in for the kill. the squad is threadbare and Ancelotti is not confident enough to bring on the kids. Lucky for Arsenal that they are getting there players back when Chelsea are losing theirs. Whoever wins this season will be the team with more squad depth as opposed to quality. Arsenal fans should not be shouting about taking the title this season.
